imo: in order of preference : resolution. inputs. contrast ratio. scan rate. ( which ofcourse would go right up to the top if you were gonna do nothing but watch movies etc.) I use a Dell 2001FP, I only really use 20"+ monitors as I like the space on the desktop. 1600x1200. altho there are some fantastic 1900x1200 res. out there as well - just too pricey for me, and the only game I play (CS) doesnt support widescreen. - I chose this because it does DVI and S-VHS - which I think is cool. in my experience gamers would take a 17" over a 19" (all other specs being equal) because they are both optimised at 1280x1024 and this allows for a sharper image. (altho ofcourse there are a very very few 19"s that do 1600x1200) I've been involved in LCD sales in the UK since 1998 - when 15" NEC LCDs cost

well its the tdi - and if the damage is all external - there are alot of cheap petrol ones with blown engines/interior burn outs/ bad gearboxes.. I reckon a bitta this and a bitta that and you might have yourself a tdi for abot 1500 squid. -

I assume the 2.3 doesnt use the same plugs as the vr6 ? I know my honda legend uses platinum tipped sparks which cost about 15 quid each - Here are some ebay for the shalaxy - ending in 8 hours. altho I'm sure alot of vr6 users wont need them - as I think they have what a 60k lifespan ?

Backward Compatibility Of Seats ? Mk2 Mk1
mumble_bee replied to mumble_bee's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
ok I have changed my seats to mk2 seats they are a perfect fit front back left right all over the guy I bought them off had installed leather seats in his mk2 - and wanted to get rid of his full set of 7 seats - which I installed in my mk1 with no problems at all. I did however notice that the leather ones in his had WIDER rails at the bottom (thats just info for whoever) anyway - so mk2 seats fit in mk1 which means I now have 7 mk1 seats (2 + 5) of 1 design and 4 mk1 seats (1d + 3rear) of another design to dispose of ;) -
all this makes the gal sound like the product of a HOT ORGY between mazda,vw,seat, ford and LORD only know who else.

How Can I Upgrade The Power Of A V6 Auto?
mumble_bee replied to a topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
you 2 need to get some REAL LIFE enemies... I have a few too many -and I dont mind lending you 1 each. -
I usually put part worns on, cause they are hardly used.. some part worn have been used abit but alot of the times they are nearly new. I know on my legend where the tyres cost me 210 each.. I'm better off getting part worn from a regular supplier who knows what I want and I get all 4 for 80 squid. - usually quite new.

one of my mates was talking about some MAZDA engine ??? in the gals ? I dunno ???

mumof4: I would recommend a few things if I could (am going with cheapest ish): 1) you have no where near enough ram to run a pc in this day and age and especially NOT a P4. I would suggest getting a 512 stick - as your pc is obviously noy dual channel. what you do - get the old stick of 256mb out - take it to a pc joint - show it to them and say I want 512mb in a single stick that will work with this. [for them : - you DONT have dual channel - and you want the SAME Bandwidth, and equal or faster latencies] I would guess that you have either DDR 333 running at 266 or 266 itself, OR PC 133 - in which case - you should be GRATEFUL to your pc for being alive. as such 512mb 266/333 should be about 25 quid (fitting is free or do it yourself). If its 133 SD, bin the board get a cheap board (

cheers for the help all, esp blatters : I'm inclined to agree with you that I may not be applying for the right jobs. which is why I made out 3 cvs, 1 for my business operational experience.. (which is what I really do), 1 for my Salesy stuff, and 1 for my techie stuff. MY CV is 2 Pages long. My fonts are all in 10, cause thats the only way I could get it all in on 2 pages. I do use bullet points instead of blocks of text - and this action word - seems to be where I think I might be letting myself down.. there isnt much action in my words.. its just usually an overview of what I did, I'm (for want of a better word) shy of writing down dramatic stuff. in sales for eg: I've personally made/managed annual sales of between 600k and 8 million over the last 10 years... how do I put that down without saying - hah - you can expect that of me again.... some ppl dont understand turnover - you say 8 mil - they say why you wanna work for us ? Ofcourse the biggest thing I'm trying to HIDE on my cv is that I have been a partner in every business I have worked for in the last 13 years. which by definition means KPIs are ... unheard of...its all about just doing as good as you can - or just doing better than the previous quarter etc.. the other thing is I havent written my education down at all - as it isnt anything worth writing about.. it screams UNDERACHIEVER u see. Ivor- I remember the good old days when recruitment consultants gave you time - and would do a 1 on 1 to get you a job.. but now its like - WHY DID YOU CALL ME ? ... IF I'm interested I'll call you !!! and I agree about mental health, (HAHAHA I just remembered - I did some consultancy work for a US healthcare recruitment company .. they used to say when an RMN [registered mental nurse] calls... we just hang up - cause they're all mental anyway) thanks again peeps
