Anyone Know Much About Volvo S80 ?
mumble_bee replied to mumble_bee's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
merci buckets mate -
hi, I have to buy an S80 for a mate, he's not particularly fussed about it being diesel or not.. I think he doesnt want the T6. Now I've never driven/bought/sold any of these, but looking around there are as many writeups against it as there are for it. I was wondering if any one here either HAS/HAD/knows someone who HAS/HAD an S80.. and if you could tell me please what the maintenance costs are like, and if things tend to go wrong with it.. basically was it made by ROVER is what I'm asking.. cheers in advance ..

Should I Ask Them For My Money Back ?
mumble_bee replied to a topic in Dealer Service and Reliability (Galaxy)
ian, good luck with that Im sure you have the right to ask for a refund in this case. But if you have a solicitor friend it might be handy to have a chat with him before hand. I've had some returns to do in the past and I was surprised at the leniency the law gives the dealer. I have been in retail myself and have taken full advantage of this leniency never really knowing how much I had. I know that as long as they make a "reasonable effort" it counts in their favour. However with the sheer amount of time its been with them, you will most definitely have a case. once again good luck -
I think youd have to get a new tranny too you can get the combo engine + tranny for about 600-800, getting someone to fit them will be the problem. Here in Luton, where there are mechanics aplenty, you could prolly get it done for

hi I'm no techie, but a mate of mine had the v6 with lpg on a Y reg from a dealer a couple of years back, and it did exactly the same thing. he had it checked by some AA type ppl who said the lpg thingymabob had been done all wrong, etc... he took it back to the dealer and got a refund ( of course he threatened to drive the car through the showroom if they didnt refund him) sorry for your trouble, I hope someone can help you out.

what you dont realise is we have a responsibility to make sure the ladies dont get themselves into trouble that is a big job in itself and if that wasnt enough - can you add telling her to shut up as well ? omg that is a mission... cmon you know you got it easy.. just iron the shirts....

heya I bought some mats off customcarwizard This is a Link to his ebay shop. I like the quality - they are decent. Delivery was shockingly quick. I just think they are abit pricey... also try getting the right colour - I got the grey ones but I think they were too dark.. no that it matters cause in a few months they'll be dark from kidmud anyway.. I have a dark grey interior, and they were STILL darker than that.. but I do like the quality overall and they arent one of those EBAYERS who wait for you to leave feedback before they do.. I mean wth is that all about ? - you've paid for the item - you've received it - surely they should leave the appropriate feedback eg: payment received etc.. ? /rant

I dont like my analog heater/aircon controls - and would LOVE to swap for digital ones... ebay ppl are selling digital ones, but no one can be bothered to take pics of the rear for connections etc.. I'm just wondering - and of course thank you in advance. (even for just looking  )

I'm actually VERY USED to being pulled over by mr.plod - I have one of those faces... so much so that I AVOID driving through the city - even if I have to go from one end to the other. 31 in a 30 - was the last one - I actually laughed at him - he gave me that one eyebrow raised NOT impressed look and proceeded to check my car from front to back. I once got pulled over when I Was in uni cause I was driving a NEW Rover Sterling (hey I Was young - I liked the car then).. he said who's car is this , I said mine - he said how old are you - I said 18.. he was like "riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight" here's your producer. move along now. I dunno if these experiences caused me to be such a speed limit freak - or I just got sensible... It IS NEVER worth breaking the speed limit. It is NEVER worth risking getting a parking ticket. etc..
