hey big j thanks for taking the time.. I've been to 2 professional cv places.. and they thought my cv was good before they saw it - anyway now I have 3 cvs, 1 for each kind of job I apply for... I'm actually worried that the rejections are coming before the interviews - which kinda suck - cause I KNOW when I go to interview I'm gonna scare the crap outta them - so I wouldnt mind it then... :D - maybe I'll work for myself again ?

hrm windows shouldnt do that if its managed by windows itself ... it sounds like you may actually have some hdd issues. or you have very very little ram and very very little free hdd space on the designated v.mem drive and too many memory resident programs

how do you know its been expanding the virtual memory ?

pc not shutting off is not a HUGE problem - its common in loads of scenarios like: driver conflicts, hdd read errors (non-phys), etc....... (oh also when you have spyware) you can just press the power on button for 4 seconds - or to the count of 10 - whichever is longer :D

well tbh - the best thing to do in that case is 1) msconfig - disable all non ms services and all startup 2) delete/rename any unknown exe files in c:\ or c:\windows\temp or c:\windows\system32( 2) disconnect from the net (or just engage an internet lock or whatever its called) 3) run your antivirus - ideally updated- if not (as yours is avg-greyed -skip this) 4) run your adaware - deep scan 5) reboot and do step 2) 6) adaware again 7) check msconfig - have any new programs added themselves to startup ? if so they are your problem, if not then we're 1 step closer to fixing it 8) if 7 is NO - then make sure your firewall is up and go to a free antivirus site - like www.antivirus.com - they are trend av - use their HOUSECALL product its free and java based, if 7 is yes.. then you need an antivirus that can pick up that stuff 9) pray

partition table error - on the system drive - well in windows - thats almost unusable however unless we're talking about physical damage - ie: bad sectors - you should be able to sort it out . other browsing can be more dangerous. you really need a combination of: firewall(+nat if possible), anti-spyware/adware,anti-virus

you dont like your job ? read my story : well my job hunt is going badly, very badly even I've applied for like 700+ jobs and nothing - not even an interview - recently updated my cvs and at least now I get rejections which is nice... I average about 70 applications a week. - these are targeted applications with cvs tailored for the job spec. NO BS , NO lies, I only apply for stuff I absolutely can do. so.. now I play a game with the recruiters the first rejection of the day gets : (that was todays - its always a little different depending on my mood of course. and for the rest of them.. nothing positive from that yet - but hey - its no different :D

you dont need to do a recovery - I havent re-installed in I dunno 4 years or something - worst case scenario is a registry restore - unless you've recently installed NEW PS2 Drivers from something like a logitech wireless kit.. then you're in trouble

ok heres some advice if you're up for it.. Start->run-> Msconfig->startup->disable all then click services->hide all microsoft services->disable all of course this will also disable your firewall - which isnt good - unless you have xp firewall. but at least while you're not connected to the internet you can see if its working fine. then you can re-enable your firewall etc.. from the startup and services tab - but thats step 2.

just so you know - no ones ignoring you thats kind of one of those really hard questions .. mine was even easier than that - and we didnt really really really get a definite answer. when I was buying interiors for my mk1.. I was ok with the seats .. altho the front ones were apparently going to be a squeeze... headlining was different - or so one of the breakers said - so I cant say. I was putting in my headlining today anyway - and I know how nasty it is to fit around the sun roof area. I'd say your best bet - is to go down to breakers who have both mk1 and mk2 gals, flash them a smile - a lovely smile - like mine :D - and hope they let you look at them... and if you're looking for breakers within 50 miles of luton who might have gals - you can FORGET ABOUT IT. alot of them are up NORF, ofcourse I'm not saying you live in luton - just saying if you're anywhere near civilisation... bleh and gl
