  1. I'm going to attempt my front brakes soon. Discs and pads I'm going to use this thread http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?s=&showtopic=13380&view=findpost&p=109948to help me. Any other hints and tips are welcome please. I've got a nice breaker bar at the ready to do the job from removing a rear wheel of a scooter to change the tyre.
  2. I had to get the off side of mine done in Sept for the NOT. £40 it cost me.
  3. Buy one off eBay for £20
  4. For the front? I found that they usually come off easier in the up position then give them a good wriggle
  5. I've notice small dots of oil on the drive about the size of a 10 pence coin. I've got a feeling it's only leaking when it's running. I'll attach some pics and see what you think. There is also oil around the head gasket area on the front of the engine also on the EGR valve area.
  6. Think your self lucky I can't even get it in 5th. I have to jump from 4th to 6th lol
  7. Clear Cache, wipe history, scan for viruses and clear malware too. It's probably some kind of unwanted script running within your browser.
  8. Yes you're right It was 25 amp number 7. Which as you say according to the diagram isn't the Cig Lighter. I have Sasquartch to thank for the info. Your reply I'd equally as grateful. 10 months I've driven without it, using the snail paced USB port from the stereo.
  9. Yes but which one is it?
  10. Can anyone confirm where the Cig Lighter fuse is please for the MK11. I've seen some say it's behind the Glove box? Fuses 8 & 10 are ok just to the right of steering column too
  11. Usually you can get one very quickly via eBay for 99p.
  12. Nope all 4 connections were stiff to remove.
  13. So. ..... today was D-Day. I've managed to change the Injector loom. So far...... its running fine. It took me hour and a half in total. Battery had to come out, but I left in the EGR and exhaust manifold.
  14. http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/ford_galaxy_2000-2001_headlamp_pilot_bulb_holder_f_1202028_c_645.htm Here's the part with Ford Part number
  15. I had trouble with mine, turned out the bulb was fine and the holder had to be replaced. I had to buy a genuine part from a company called Quickco in Borehamwood Hertfordshire.
  16. How to Remove a Diesel Injector Electrical Loom: Here's a YouTube video how to remove the injector loom.
  17. Thanks for the eBay link. Yes I've called fords and vw. Fords wanted
  18. That is what I read on previous threads. Where can I buy them from? Main dealer only???
  19. Following my "Hesitation" post it has turned out to be misfire symptoms. The error reads: 18075 - PD Unit Injector; Cylinder 2 (N241): Electrical Malfunction P1667 - 35-00 - - Sasquarch very kindly read my faults for me. I just wondered if anyone knew or heard of this code and could confirm it to be just the injector loom please. I'm praying it's not the injector it's self. Thanks in advance.
  20. Oh great. Are you around tomorrow at all, do you charge? I've read other threads and I think it's the injector loom.
  21. Old tread but this is the exact issue I currently have with my Galaxy
  22. Shouldn't the lower hose be checked also to see if it is running hot or cold? Would it be possible for the stat being stuck open to cause this issue? I'm not expert as you can tell
  23. Does anyone have a VagCom near me? North London or Hertfordshire please?
  24. Thank you I found this exact page earlier via Google lol
  25. I've found the brushes on ebay. There are 4 in total aren't there. They appear easy enough to replace. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=141532878905&alt=web
