I'm looking to remove the interior plastic of the n/s windscreen pillar. However there is an airbag inside. Can I just remove it, or should I disconnect the battery or is it not as sensitive as the steering wheel?

Has anyone installed A DAB Radio aerial?? They attach to the windscreen, then part of it must touch painted metal behind the plastic panel of the windscreen pillar. My pillars have airbags though, is it safe to just remove the plastic?? Should I disconnect the battery??

Yes I've since realised this lol Apparently all a DIY kit will do it fill it with gas and not remove any old gas and cleanse the system

Has anyone ever regassed their air con, or is it a job for the professionals??

It doesn't seem too bad with regards to handling, just very stiff at the front. No bounce at all.

I'd imagine it's quite a job to replace the springs back to originals if that's the case, or is it something a novice like myself could do?

Looks abnormal about the struts or springs. I've not had chance yet to put it up on ramps look underneath for the Anti roll bar fitting. However there are holes in the struts where the drop links would usually fit. It's that low that I am going to need to remove the wheel to access the bulbs.

I've noticed that my Galaxy doesn't appear to have and drop links or anti roll bar on the front?? Seems highly unusual to me?? The suspension on the front is very stiff and appears low, so would it be some kind of modification??

The central locking only works from the internal button I have no remote fob, just 1 key which unlocks the drivers door manually from the outside but the central locking does not activate? Any ideaS??

Yes the heater works very well. There is no trickle from the return pipe which if I'm correct it top left of the bottle as you are facing it? Maybe I will have to check for blockages there then Thanks for responding

Today I checked the coolant which was a little low. Topped it up cold as it had been stood over night. I drove 50 yards and the temp warning light came on as if the car was too hot. I stopped and checked the coolant was still at the level is topped it up to which it was. I thought maybe once the stat opened it would sort it's sf out. Well it didn't. After being out for around an hour a came home opened the expansion cap very gingerly, much to my surprise the coolant in there was stone cold. Any ideas??? Blockage? Water Pump??

I noticed today that if you attempt to put it in 6th then relax the pressure it slots in fine, I can live with that for now

When driving or idling it won't go in Engine off it goes in fine

I have just bought a 53 plate Galaxy TDi Zetec It drives lovely, all gears go in and out very well. All that is except 6th. It just will not go in, if you lift the clutch a little it'll crunch it's way in bit obviously I can't keep doing that as that will cause damage. Would it be a selector issue? Worn or not setup right? I'm praying it's noting more serious such as the box or clutch? It's done 160,000 miles and has had the clutch replaced in the last year.

Just noticed this today on the off side rear. The shock absorber mount has corroded away. I assume it can be welded up? I'm in NW London, any idea where is best to go to get it done?

Sounds simple enough! Lol Would this faulty intercooler be what is causing overheating??

Would fitting a new one be a simple remove & replace?

I've removed the pipe before now and it is dry. It appears the oil is coming directly from the intercooler, is it an easy repair?

It does go into limp mode at times, switching it on and off seems to clear it. Would it definitely be the intercooler and not the turbo? Thanks for the response
