  4. Sorry mo4 i forgot to say i used to use zonealarm but i had probs with it then couldnt get rid so ended up wiping
  5. Hi mo4 i use norton its ok but a bit memory hungry so you will need 512 of ram. Get a 160 gig hd about 55 quid for the ata version i use an 80 as a back up. If it all goes to pot i wipe my main hd with Dban (dariks boot and nuke its free)and reboot from the previous back up You could use your 40gig as backup as long as you have no bad sectors. Hope this helps

Thanks Guys :D i seem to be about on the money at least no faults then. :o I bought this car with 65k on it most of this driven at 56 mph to get the best mpg from it my friend is tight :o I was thinking of trying a bottle of injector cleaner but dont know what to use? Has any body tried any of the Slick 50 type of engine treatment? I`ll find out what mpg i get when towing on Sunday off to the lakes for a week its 224 miles from here will i do it on one tank ? cheers
  7. Hi all can any one tell me what mpg i should expect from my 02 tdi 115ps auto with 70,000 miles on her. I get about 30 round town if driven steady and i got 43 from a 70 mph run down the a1 for about 100 miles. Is this about right? thanks

Hi Guys and gals searched for suspension noise last night cause it sounded like the front wheels were gonna rattle off. :huh: Read this and thought anti roll drop link only 13 quid each what the h..l :huh: Fitted them tonight OMG it worked !!! I cant believe the small amount of play in the nearside one caused that amount of noise thanks to all of you for this thread :( Anybody with front noise fit new drop links at 13 pound each its the cheapest part if the suspension Can we make this thread a sticky to help anuy body else who has this noise i wonder how much frauds would of charged to diagnose and fit :huh: cheers ps sorry to go on :blink:

  10. Hi mo4 ,hi smog i usually regrease things especially bearing surfaces with castrol lsm3 grease(think thats it) its a high melting point grease containing molybdenum it works great. Think i might do this as well at the weekend rather than wait for it to seize up cause i think my gaks the same years as yours mo4.

  15. yep thats seems like a good idea. I have an 02 galaxy and if its got that sort of toy i havnt found it could of done with it this morning, thank god for the heated windscreen MM where on Webasto would this sort of thing be? cheers

Hi all well ford say all diesels are belts as did johnb, replacement is 220 for belt and 90 for the pretensioners my mate says he will have it done by the maindealer on wednesday he cant believe ford told him it was a chain. So i think thats turned out ok for me.my mates furious at ford they never even said it needed changing. :(

Hi scorpio i think i may be in the same boat so to speak been looking at my friends 52 1.9tdi i`m sure i asked about the cambelt and he said its a chain then came home with service books etc started to read up and its says cambelt change at 40k :) have started another thread in technical but so far everybody has a belt and has got them changed around 40k :)
