Booster Heater.. No Dont Shoot Me
lazyb5 replied to lydanial's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
i`m in peterborough if your near here any time. I regularly check my motor with vagcom and have checked the heater for faults not much more tho. I also need to repair replace the aux pump on the bulkhead if you go to b&q or Focus and buy some angle grinder carbon brushes these can be filed down to correct size. I think its all in the FAQ. -

Hi Keefy, and automatics have a fluid flywheel or torque converter no clutch. Would suggest you get the fluid level checked mate for starters

Sorry Sher i was on about my caravan tyres not the car tyres. On the car I`ve got 2 dunlop 2020 on the front and 2 Falken on the rear seem ok. My previous fronts were Michelin forget the type about 85 quid each lasted a year about 11k so will try the falken when front dunlops go. Never thought about how much we put in the car good point though (now trying to find where i got 85% of Kerbweight from) thinking about a new van so will be able to look at the twin axle with a little bit more interest. Yep the 40k cambelt is pants only another 18k before i spend another 350 quid whats wrong with a chain anyway

Hi Dave, hi all permanent live to wipers is correct. the other live is a switched live. It sounds like you have a short between the permanent live and the switched if you do this wipers wont stop ever  You may also have connected them wrongly did any wires fall out of the multi plug .I think from memory the plug only goes on one way. If all of the above is ok you may have a problem with wiper stalk though this is uncommon( waits for oh no its not pantomime style ;) ) I would suggest letting contacts dry out making sure wires are correct and check again. If its still bad repost here or in technical for more help. I have done this repair with help from guys and gals here and it went ok biggest prob was cleaning all the crap around pollen filter out. Good luck

Hi all, just come back from dorset towing my Elddis and would like to add my two pennorth ;) The auto box in the mk2 is right on the limit of it design on torque. Max for the box is 330 and 115 tdi puts out about 315 ( i read it somewhere) The 85% rule i`ve always used is of the cars weight in the handbook which is about 1850kgs (85% = 1572kgs) Legal limit for vans in the UK is 60 mph and you are not permitted to use the 3rd lane of the motor way. I`ve had my van for about 5 years and the galaxy is the best car i`ve towed with (most stable) I have had my tyres on for 5 years and they will be replaced before we next go out. They were of the commercial type to stand the weight.Cant see anything wrong with them but i bet if anything happens the insurance will ask how old were your tyres :) oh and dorset is really busy at this time of year :D

Roof Mount Screen
lazyb5 replied to The Ageless Stranger's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Hi TAS are you sure u have dual ac. All new Galaxys not the new shape have rear heating/ventilation and rear fan. Only a few have dual ac which has a seperate evaporater and things. I have climate control which has a rear temp setting but when a/c is needed it relies on a/c in the front and uses the fan in the back to circulate it. Galaxys like gooners have rear ac and the easiest way to tell is look for the vents in the roof lining. ...OOPs i dont know how to mount a screen either and have rambled on about rear a/c .Have fun with the new car i love mine and keep doing loads of jobs, run on pump is next. -
