Hi Nik it would have been an easy job when having the cam belt changed on mine but they forgot mines done 70k and belt is crazed waiting for that warm Sunday to spend all day replacing it i carry the new one just in case. Thats of course if i can get to it never thought to ask if it was an easy job it looks a bit congested in there.

Hi Nik i`m like you with demon pay 20 quid a month 2meg line no cap great when ok but when it went wrong OMG luckily my neighbor is with bt and his went too. When they fixed his mine was ok.Tech support is in Lahore and just cant or dont help but are very polite. Stuck on 12 month contract but when at end of Sept i`m looking <_<

My vans about 1250 kg all up my Gal pulls great although i did come from a Picasso and that was pants <_<

mines been doing it for about 6 months so my friend said who i bought it from. Mine still blows cold and seems to work i wouldnt mind knowing what it flashes for though wonder if vw will read it for free <_<

Hi Ken cant wait till my auto box plays up :D mines out of warranty and at 70k best start saving now. I did read on here that the box learns over the first 100 miles after a reset. Hope yours sorts itself out. At least we wont have the dual density flywheel problem :D

Hi gang its just that if i follow the instructions from Nik (thanks m8) i can see how everything comes off to enable me to remove both side trim panels but the first instructions are remove scuff guard :D hope it isnt bolted underneath as i`ve just installed a towbar and waxoiled all that area :D Any help would be appreciated. Hi muffking i`m like you wires from towbar under carpet but would love to put them under scuff plate i bent mine slightly trying to remove with crowbar :D

Hi guys i thought speed on a single lane was 60 oops. I never go more than about 57mph gal seems happiest at that and most economic 27mpg. Had a couple of minor snakes on way home at easter.I blame a high wind as i had loaded the van same as i always do. Anyway the first minor snake i left the cruise on and sat it out. The second one happened when going down hill with a speed camera at the bottom so i had to brake funny thing is the snake just stopped real quick so i`m going to brake if i ever get a snake again :blink:

oops wish i`d seen this post before i replaced all my discs and pads. I just did what i normally do and used a g clamp :angry: obviously i used a tool to rotate the rear calipers this was about 4 weeks ago and still seems ok now guess i got away with it :blink:

Hi all bought a cover off ebay for 50 quid inc postage. Ford wanted another 50 quid for the parts said i would try vw as they are just around the corner. They are very very nice people and the bill came to

I got goodyear excellence reinforced at 85 each they seem loads better than the dunlop

When i replaced the discs on my Gal i put a dab of copperslip on the locking nut threads to prevent this. I then was told its a no no to grease wheel bolts. At least mine still come off if i get a puncture. Anybody else any opinion about copperslip on threads?

After much reading due to the age of mine it looks like its 115bhp wish they would label them so i knew :D

Hi yes the bezel to take off is the one around the climate control i just pulled mine off and there are 4 screws underneath the bezel on mine wasnt too tight

Hi, sorry to ask but where can i find out what my car is i was told it was 115 bhp but i`m sure i have seen a ford book saying 110kw going to look through books and stuff now is it on any plate on the car ? thanks

Hi had the car about 3 months done about 3k on new fronts Goodyear excellence 215/65/16 tyres look new and i pulled a caravan for 500 miles of that this easter. I had a picasso before this and got about 20k from the front on them. The Gal looks like being the same!!

I`ve not been here long but from what i read MM and Mo4 would both make great mods
