  1. Not heard the name, but it is a long time since i had to buy a car seat..all i can suggest is that she tries the car seat before she buys it to make sure that it will be a snug safe fit. Again Halfords do a fitting service where she could go in and see what fits..Most car seats should fit when fitted correctly.
  2. oops..just replied to this on your intro!
  3. yes he had that..wasnt very nice at all, was one of the reasons why he had a circumcision in the first place...poor wee mite. well the E45 cream seemed to work a treat as hes not complaining anymore and everything looks healed up.
  4. WElcome to the forum...we cater for the shazza, bamma and galaxy on here...plus the ever expanding peeps who have sold on their gals and got other cars .lol. You can buy an integrated child seat for the galaxy and they do crop up on ebay every now and then..Otherwise any car seat should do. How old is the child that is needing the car seat? Halfords i believe do a fitting service where you can see if a seat will fit.
  5. Course it will be of interest to us..car reviews always are.
  6. If you have a teenage lad SK ask him..he might know  You getting a brand new one then?
  7. Must admit that i have given up asking for technical advice on the vauxhall forum as a lot of them are more interested in seeing how far they can take their car in regards to mods, decibal levels, bhp, speed etcc..dont get me wrong its a good forum but ask for bog standard techy help and it may take awhile to get a reply..but ask for techy help in regards to a mod and the thread will grow at a rate of knots.Just my opinion of course. Considering a lot of them are young drivers, it does make me wonder how they can afford their insurance,,maybe they only have fire and theft and not fully comp..or maybe a parent pays the insurance for them...who knows...But i do know there are specialist companies out there that will insure modded cars for a not too high a price. Also when i passed my test i was given a mag that had inside numerous companies that insured new and young drivers for a lot less than main stream insurance companies. Granted there will be young hot rods on the road who havent declared their mods, or dont have insurance.. But considering how much some of them spend on mods for their cars, they would be daft not to insure as the mods themselves can cost thousands. when i went to a vectra meet in June, there was a lady there who had spent over 30k on mods for her car and Vauxhall didnt believe the mods she had on her car so asked her to take it to their factory for tests to confirm the bhp etcc......her car was bought for around 1k..it is now worth over 55k and insured for a hell of a lot of money!!
  8. You know SK.....bit worried about you.......Continental has a different meaning in certain circles.. when do you get the Corsa??
  9. Humph.....search yerself next time then  Glad you got it sorted though.
  10. And coz im really pedantic today..lets compare them side by side.. Larryo..used your pic..Hope you dont mind. Heck of a difference between the two.
  11. Right..i am going to be pedantic now coz im in that sorta mood.. Mine is the 125PS version and I find it a bit sluggish pulling away, it must be a bit better than the 100PS option though. Had a concern about the seats at first as they are very thin on the padding. But I have done a couple of long journeys and they have been comfy enough, although they are a bit narrow. I have stated on here before that the Zetec Galaxy should have the same front seats as the Zetec S-Max which has sportier 'bucket' style and hold you in place much better. But for some reason they are different My overhead console was also rattling, it turned out to be the child rear seat mirror thing. On closer inspection the I think the quality of the seats is poor. Very thinly padded all round especially the 3rd row A couple of things I'm not so sure on & one is the handbrake (not the electric option) I have crushed my fingers releasing it on several occasions, guess after a couple more times I will learn to keep my fingers clear!! I think they should have added the electric handbrake as standard. The handbrake does not however get in the way of changing gears as somone I think posted on here. It would also be nice to have the Aux heater & cruise control as standard.
  12. You could try pulling the HU out to see if the keycode is written on the top of it???i know mine was on both head units that i had.
  13. Umm....what may be easy for one person may be a pigs @ss for another..ive found that out on here  My answer doesnt help you ... but you wont know till you try.
  14. Gawd..typical man  ...have you not got a manual for it?? Try here..im nice and searched for you.Got instruction manuals in pdf format. http://www.roadangel.co.uk/support/classic.../downloads.html
  15. i had the FULLRUNs on the Gal i had....they were reallly good tyres.
  16. Welcome weeman., one thing i don't miss about Swindon...is the magic!! B) Have you checked the fuse?? If the only prob you have so far is a ciggy lighter..then you are doing well B)
  17. Irregardless of how long anyone has been a member, or how many posts..or how old/decreppid someones radio is..codes are not given out on this forum. A member may help you via pm..maybe not.In my experience Fords do not charge for the service of obtaining your radio code. If someone wants to help you via pm that is up to them.
  18. I posted all the info about what is printed on the tyres a loooooooooong time ago..last year i think it was. B)
  19. I wore out a pair of dunlops in 6000 miles when i first started driving the gal after i passed my test..granted it was in roundabout city!...but they are i feel too soft for the front of a Gal. 6 Months to go and i will have been driving 2 years!!..Blimey.
  20. I have 4 kids aswell, and its not by choice that my Galaxy went..far from it.Yes i dont like the New Galaxy because of the design, that is my preference...In an ideal world i would still have my Galaxy but i don't.I have a 10 yr old Vectra which really isnt big enough but its all i could afford, and i like her.Like me she is getting on a bit,and needs a bit of TLC..she will do me and the kids for a year or so. We all have our preferences in what we like...I'm sure there are cars out there that you have seen, taken a look and thought that looks awfull....for me that car is the MKIII Galaxy. I do respect other peoples opinions and if they like the MKIII then fine..We have had many discussions on this forum in regards to the MKIII when it first came out, some like it..others don't. That doesnt mean i wont try and help out if someone has a problem with their MKIII, i will help where i can with my limited knowledge.
  21. Each to their own..the S-Max and C-max do look nice and i would rather one of them than the MKIII Galaxy. But my opinion is just that...im female..its all purely cosmetic
  22. OK.I had a MKII Ghia.Drove well, not much road noise..not too many serious probs with her,Roomy, a joy to drive and taking the seats out was easy. She would fly when i drove her. The MKIII. To me looks like a box on wheels..i like smooth lines and the streamlined shape of the MKII. The seats in the MKIII fold flat system..good in theory but the backs of the seats are flimsyand have material on them. Not very practical if carting about a load of cr@p to the waste site.I much prefer being able to take the seats out in the MKII. Bags of room inside when the seats are out! The handbrake on the MKIII..Looks awfull!!The whole cabin looks awfull. I dont like the MKIII purely for cosmetic reasons.I think inside it has lost the smooth shape, on the Ghia there is way too much chrome.Looks like they have chromed everything they can think of.Too many cubby holes.what is the point in having overhead cubbies??.And no spare tyre. I have only ever seen 3 MKIIIs on the road since they came out. This is all my opinion..and my personal preference of course.
  23. Well to be honest Tommie, a few of us that have/have had the MKI or MKII, think the MKIII is pretty ummmmmm....cr@p. Plus with the MKIII still being relatively new,,the little niggles and faults may not have materialised yet!..wait a few months or so and we may have more MKIII owners joining who have problems.
  24. Thanks Glen, never thought of those suggestions last night.Really i need to think about starting to pack as it could be anytime from late August early sept.No timescale is known at the moment. Too much hassle Bigj and it has to be done the way i have to do it . Thanks for the help peeps.
