  1. Rear vent works from front controls, air should come out when dial is directed to down position (feet).
  2. Did my Brother-in-laws with DIY a few weeks ago & noticed a slight improvement. One question that wasn't on the instructions was how long are you supposed to leave the can attached?
  3. Where did you get the protectors Ivor & how much
  4. was it your long lost brother-in-law from South America driving & he has now gone home!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Well took the plunge today, all straight forward. Not sure how long you're supposed leave the can on? Can anyone advise?. We had it on for 10 mins. Managed to get his vent temp down to about 12c, still too high. I reckon still got half a can. I think he may have some other problems, sticker near 134a sign saying that a dye test had been done in 2003. pollen filter looked dirty too. The dealer threw in a 12 month warranty with the car when he got it last Feb. I said he should check if AC is included before we try adding anymore gas
  6. Just received my 2 cans & lead. Postage says
  7. Well it resets the connection & gets it working
  8. Yep you can get it Halfrauds but
  9. I used it the other week. Managed to get mine for
  10. Wonderful, Not sure what is going on but I think pulling the plug does some kind of reset. Glad to be of help
  11. Cheers MM, will try & source a supplier
  12. Is it easy to change? Going to top up the AC too for him with the DIY kit. I may do mine then
  13. let me know. PM me if you need any more info
  14. This isn't the AC but the panel itself. This has happened to me 3 times. I presume it's a manual system? You will also notice that you won't have any backlights & the airflow paddles or heat settings won't change when you move the dials. The only thing that works is the fan speed. See my post from last year hope it helps. AC controls
  15. My Brother-in-laws 1.9 Zetec's Aux heater is running all the time till engine reaches 90c. He has been told by Frauds that the sensor is faulty. They want a fair few quid to replace. Can it be a DIY job & where can he get the part. Cheers
  16. I agree all overpriced. I would ring round. Even my preferred dealership is getting the shove for my intermediate service. Incidentelly a work colleague is doing mine today. Left him 4.3 litres of millers XFE/PD oil. He changed brake pads all round last year & charged me about
  17. Yep 505.01. Good dealership Shell Helix Diesel Plus VA 5W-40
  18. Since my major service & Cambelt change last year, I've done about 11,000 miles mixed. I've never thrashed it. I find Diesel driving very relaxed. Dealer used Helix 2 Diesel oil & I've only topped up about 500ml during the year. I'm going to use my 4.3 litres of millers xfe pd this time.
  19. Getting a colleague at work to do my Annual Service this time. Refuse to pay
  20. Bought an Aerosol treatmeant by Comma
  21. While we're on tyres. Fronts are down to 2.4 & rears 4.0. I reckon I'll change all four in one go. I have always used the the Conti CH90 205/60 15" reinforced on my Alhambra & have been pleased with the performance. I am able to get them for
  22. While were on AC, mine's been a bit musty when first switched on. No problems with performance etc. So no leaks. I've heard about bacteria build-up etc. Can you get a spray or will changing the pollen filter suffice.
  23. How long since the last repair? The work should be under guarantee for at least 12 months. I know SEAT give 2 years on parts following repair. Even if Gal is over 3 years old, kick up fuss with dealer in a nice way. They may meet some of the repair costs, if not all. It could be that you have lost your AC gas. System won't engage if low. :)
  24. Excellent results Jeff & Oggy. :)
