hi guys i will try and explain this the best way i can , when i put the handbrake down to move away mine feels a bit springy i push it down and it springs up just a little anyone know if this is right or not as ive only just noticed it , it dont come up enough to put the light on the dash but should i be concerned and have it checked many thanks smoggy

hi all would the speaker in he rear stop the sensors in the rear from working correctly ? i just phoned for a new one

hi insider, quite right m8 the speaker in the rear doent work so would this be enough to put the rear sensors out? i undone the speaker and connected it to the front as they are the same and it didnt work so i am thinking this maybe the problem i have had right from the start oh well we will try and get it sorted now fingers crossed many thanks smoggy

thanks insider , the speaker on the back doesnt kick in either , the module had been changed when i bought the car common fault lol, i was told that the reverse switch that makes the lights turn on has a different curcuit to the sensors dont know how correct this is,,anyway will check out what you said but still a bloody headache to say the least.it just stopped working one morning on the rear but not sure why as i havent done anything to the car for it to have stopped like this , all i have checked is the sensors changed the front to the back as the front ones work and all sensors pick up objects so not sure where to go from here really thanks smoggy

hi all anyone tell me how to locate the reverse switch on a 2001 galaxy 1.9 tdi , i have done all the checks i can so looking to find the switch? as whats happening now is when i engage the reverse gear sometimes i get a long tone and sometimes i dont real headache , anyone with other suggestions many thanks smoggy

hi guys are the sensors wired tothe reversing lights ? just something to check tomorrow for loose or broken wire /bad connection thanks smoggy

hi i had this trouble a while ago if it aint the rear pads /front then theres prob a wire touching the wall of the car its under the dash in the bonnet compartment its location is at the back there somewhere i booked mine in as it was a bloody nightmare to find but thats where they told me it was , good luck smoggy

hi guys would i be right in thinking that if the reverse lights come on then the switch is doing its job? are there wires in the boot near the top indges perhaps broken there? i really need help here guys have done all i can now until tomorrow any ideas where to look? thanks smoggy

hi mate thanks for the reply this morning have checked all wires all ok , so i decided to change all the front sensors to the rear as all the front ones work swapped them over and the rear sensors all work, so i maybe thinking it maybe the reverse switch? but anyone direct me to finding it , or has anyone got any info on this would help me out, as i have checked all possible problems and sensors working is the switch the only other thing , but if it was the reverse switch surely i wouldnt get the reverse lights ? how do the reverse gear work the sensors/many thanks smoggy

hi m8 ok i have tried all sensors and they are all clicking , i have taken the module out to check for moisture but nothing all ok dry as a board , when i engage reverse now all i get is a long tone and the light on the dash flickers , but earlier my son walked past the front end of the car and it went nuts sensors worked ok so anyone know what this maybe any help here guys,the module was changed when i first had the car as i had none working back then many thanks smoggy

hi guys i know youve had this problem but my sensors were ok up until yesterday the rear ones has stopped working for some strange reason have checked the unit thats dry, the front ones all work fine soon as i put it in reverse nothing happens can you give mr some ideas now as they were all working fine , where do i locate the switch for the reverse many thanks smoggy

hi , i had this problem when i first got mine, you have to take the whole section of the wiper linkage from the car , once off you then have to seperate the spindles as this is the cause it gets stiff due to loss of grease , i think there is a diagram in this topic and i think it shows you how to do it hope this helps it took me about 2 hours from start to finnish , another little tip while you take out the wiper linkage change the filter thats there also as it will be harder to change when needed many thanks smoggy look here no 45 in Faqs, Common Questions And Solutions

hi all , has anyone got a spare sensor they no longer want as fords are expensive i will pay whatever due to the front sensor has been broken off someone tried to nick one and it broke on the inside so not working now as it stops it all working 2001 model 19tdi many thanks smoggy

hi guys can someone do me the honours of opening their fey fob and tell me the position of the 3 metal prongs i opened it to replac battery but the 3 prongs didnt look right , should the 2 end ones be behind the little black lips or should all 3 be in front touches the meatl plate many thanks smoggy

hi thanks mum but i took the key down to ford to them changed he told me there was enough life in them, it will open the car on the fob and manually but once locked and you try it again in about an hour or so and point the key at it nothing happens i press the key to all different angles but nothing , open the car manually then lock it no problems it opens and closes until i wait about an hour or so and go out to do it again nothing dont make any sense at all, as i said the red light sometimes dont flash when i lock it so i will have to have a word with a friend of mine he is an electrician in a car depot if i can reach him very busy lol, thanks for the reply mum greatfull smoggy oh and i did try and reprogramme the key went through all the commands but made no difference??????????

hi guys havent been on for a while looking after my 96 year old gran who is having an operation on the 11th june to take her hand of to the wrist, anyway my problem is my key fob sometimes lock and unlock the car , i can lock it manually but want to use the key fob , i noticed that the light flashes rather quickly after the time it sets, can someone tell me where the problem lies and what can be done to fix it plz, i have checked all wires in the door boots all ok,just i cant understand how it will work one day and not the next many thanks guys smoggy
