I feel your pain... I am assured that all Freeview boxes will pick up ITV by the way. The signal strength of the channel 'packages' can be different from the same transmitter, I've been told, and so maybe the package containing ITV is just too weak for you to pick up. In my area, digital signals are weak (as they plan to 'up' the signal strength when they turn off analogue :16: ). So we needed a new aerial, a signal booster on the aerial and another signal booster to split off for the second telly (due to the long cable run to the second telly). We found that the analogue signal is better from Crystal Palace than Hannington, however, the digital signal is better from Hannington. So we swung our aerial around. Wierd but true. These folks are quite helpful... http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/cgi-bin/for...ard=freeviewgen ...and where is Katman???

I respectfully (!) ask my fellow members to have a look at the following: http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/ If you disagree with Road Pricing, here is an opportunity to add your voice to the petition.

Either you run a pub, or these are refreshments 'spirited' away from exhibition stands. BTW, do you have any Irish Whiskey? I'll have a small one, please...

Happy New Year 2007
El Dingo replied to chromedome's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Happy New Year - especially to those poor people who were/are working! (I was being sensible and not drinking much last night, as I was driving again this morning. So I'm having a beer now as I'm not at work tomorrow - cheers! ) -
1oz., 2oz. and 5oz. to be precise.

Try this... http://www.nthellworld.co.uk/home.php Actually, I'm very pleased with my NTL connection when it works, which is near enough always. Some time back we had an intermittent connection - to cut a long story short, it took three NTL customers in my road to write letters before NTL finally came out and fixed equipment in the green box in our street. Three months of hassle, including numerous visits by engineers who did nothing more than add attenuators into the line. The moral of this story is - check with your neighbours. If they have NTL and it works perfectly, maybe the problem is your end. Otherwise, 'phone head office customer care... Good luck!

VAG-COM reads everything on the Ford engined Galaxy's except the engine. Useful for when the air-con goes mammories upwards. :)

Ebay Seems To Sell Everything...
El Dingo replied to El Dingo's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
"Sir Gooner (52), proprietor of the Daily Galaxy and well known press baron, purchased a new printing press earlier this afternoon. Sipping from his cup of Maxwell House, he commented "Me mate Rupert sold it to me for half a quid and a spare wheel windy thing for a Ford Galaxy. Have to say I was chuffed until I found out it was only a porno-copier." Pizzahutti were seen chasing Sir Gooner's Ka all the way from the Elephant and Castle to the Old Kent Road. (Which isn't very far.) "When I found out" he commented later, "I sold it to Peter O' Sullivan. Or was it David Northern-Shell? Anyway, chap said he need a press in a big hurry. Hrmph! Wait until he finds out it can only print porno!" -
Yes, us too. Flat battery... The wife only does short journeys, and the battery never gets a good charge. Anyway, jump started it and gave it a good run. Got home, tried to re-start......... flat. Measured voltage - duff cell. Oh well, another expense just in time for Christmas. <_<

Wii arrived today - seems to be good fun, but I can't get near it... The kids are having a marathon bowling session. (If the safety cord does break and dings my (rather old) telly I'll be able to justify buying that 1080HD flat screen... then ban the Wii to the kids room. <_< )

The solution to this is to keep it for 10 years or until it expires (whichever is sooner, terms and conditions apply, subject to status).
