I'm still waiting for my Dunlops to wear out... I may have to replace them due to age. (This is the 'family' car, and is driven mostly by the wife). These tyres are damn noisy! I've never tried the Hancook, or driven a car with them on. The best tyres I've ever had were: Continental EcoContact (on a old model A4 V6) - very quiet, yet grippy. Continental Sport Contact II (on my current A4) - quiet, grippy with progressive breakaway (handy on a FWD car with a digital throttle response). Reactive to steering input (quick). Generally, when I've bothered to look at the tyres on cars I've been driving... Michelin (Primacy) - Quiet but not very grippy. Pirelli (P-Zero Rosso) - noisy, but grippy down to 3mm then all over the place. Very reactive to steering input. Goodyear F1 - very grippy, but rather quick breakaway and rapid wear (for the 'enthusiast'). Uniroyal Rain-thingy - utter rubbish, no grip and noisy Fulda - noisy and poor grip (these tyres look like old Dunlop SP's) Nokian - Not too noisy. Poor grip. One tyre carried a *huge* balance weight! Goodyear NCT2 - Not noisy, but just no grip and vague steering. Dunlop SP Sport 2000 - Screeched around corners, poor grip but wore out quickly (thank goodness). I see that Contiental EcoContacts can be bought in Galaxy size and reinforced. Might try those.
