Another Useless Thread..but.....

I thought that was mk2vr6 ? -
I suspect they may be ordinary LED's not 12v ones.....not 100% on this but there does appear to be some in line resistance. Suggest "borrowing" one of the less important led's to check.....or use in its place. You have a Ghia X .....lots of little lamps that you wouldn't miss. I would think that one of you ABS sensors is faulty or more likely a ring is broken. See http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=12582

Higher Road Tax For Ford Galaxy Mk 1 And Mk 2
big_kev replied to El Dingo's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
Personally I would just prefer to hang the current government for treason. -
This equates to around 35mpg......does anyone get that in a diesel auto ? I would have thought nearer 40mpg would be more accurate. CO2 emmisions are still much lower than any of the petrol variants though.

Classic typo... any how ...try here. Mk1 98 on Fuses & Relays

Yeh we'd figured that out ....

Its above the brake pedal , there are two of them usually one black and one blue. I can't remember which is which...its the one that doesn't work your brake lights that is the usual culprit. very easy to change they are on a bayonet fitting. usually cheaper from VW or Seat than Fords.....its a VW part.

Sounds like the flap may be stuck in the cold position. IIRC the hot/cold flap is on the top of the matrix unit which is buried behind the centre of the dashboard low down. Its a bit of a pig to get to....unless someone has found an easier way.

I get one almost every week from RBS saying that there is a problem with my account and I need to click the link to sort it out. Easy to tell it's a spoof ......I don't have a RBS bank account and never have had. Ignore any and all emails from banks telling you there is a problem. The guidelines to follow. 1: Assume ( and you will usually be right ) that all emails from banks are fake. 2: If there is a genuine problem you will notice it next time you log onto your online banking. 3: Do you think they would tell you if there was a problem ! 4: If you have this problem again please email me your sort code, account code and pin numbers passwords, mothers maiden name etc and I will sort it out for you. :angry2:

The Cruise Control Light Poll!
big_kev replied to Mirez's topic in What thing irritate you about your Galaxy
Who was that then ? Someone just voted to say they have a mk2 vw engined with a cruise light that works only on active ! -
Could just be a dodgy brake pedal switch or possibly relay on the way out. Might be something more serious but I would check these first as they are cheap and easy to fix.

I wouldn't think it would make any measurable difference to the fuel consumption the fuel supply is driven electronically rather than mechanically it won't see any difference from being in gear or not. Acceleration especially when pulling away has the biggest hit. My fuel consumption varies between 44mpg to 55mpg on a 120 mile round trip. Depending whether I am impatient or not. The difference is purely down to speed of acceleration, cruising speed is identical in both cases. Using the cruise control rather than foot to the floor method of resuming speed makes a big difference on mpg.

Hi J, I think the idea is to stop other sites pasting links to the pictures on the forum, could be wrong. Alkso it keeps out the riff-raff, you know the ones who pop up on a forum post an ad for viagra ( or whatever) and are never seen again. Welcome to the forum I think you will find a lot of useful information on here especially relating to kids & cars, well done with the twins by the way, three girls....that's going to cost you. All the best Kev. p.s. watch out for people who I won't mention but their name may begin with M and end in a number...nothing but trouble.

Advice please on buying a galaxy
big_kev replied to ACD1055's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
Don't buy the ones with the clear back windows....you get roasted in them.....actually they all get very hot on a sunny day. The 2.0l petrols struggle a bit as they are underpowered. The Mk1's have less issues than the Mk2's but obviously they will be older and as such may have more issues due to general wear. The auto's are nicer to drive but can be very expensive when they go wrong. Definitely go for a Ghia if you can find one as you get a lot more for little more cost. Don't get a green one as they are invisible to Audi driver's....or was that just mine ! Don't buy one from anyone on here as it will have a load of problems...or is that just mine :) -
