  1. I think he should be banned..... Nope....that's not harsh enough. I think he should be thouroughly beaten.... Nope that's still not harsh enough How about thrashed with a old cambelt to within an inch of his life. That's definitley getting better ! Hold on...I have it. Lets give him a V6 to drive and force him to watch his MPG on a big laser display on his windscreen. That's gotta hurt. :)
  2. Feeling better then chuck !
  3. Prefer it when she goes down myself :angry2:
  4. Was the temperature measured at the vents and if so which ones ?
  5. Still no one with a cc that works when active ! Mind you there have not been many replies....possibly they do not realise they have to answer all 3 sections.
  6. Welcome back Goofy its been a while. That long in fact, I believe the hammers may have actually beaten some one in the intervening period..
  7. It appears they were messing about with their systems. It is ok now, email I sent yesterday never arrived.....lost for ever.
  8. Sorry, got to disagree with you on that. It is much , much worse !
  9. Waht teh fcku !
  10. It's also dangerous in any car and totally pointless in an automatic. There should be a footrest for your left foot, please use it. I believe there is a place for this in Formula Motor Racing and rallying but not on public roads. Just my tuppence worth....feel free to disagree.
  11. Yep, they are having problems. They appear to be queuing/filtering externally incoming mail. You can send to other people but you can't receive....or at least its delayed. Looks like some kind of filtering because if you reply to a bt address it gets through instanly.....if you send it doesn't. Works ok bt to bt.
  12. Ford are ripping you off. All you need is a new key....in fact only the remote part of it.....loads on ebay. You can swap the blade and chip from the old one and reprogramme the remote part in about 10 seconds extremely simply just using the key and your doorlock. Check the link to the faq in my sig. I am assuming that yiou have replaced the battery in the key ?
  13. Can I just say that I was the first person to vote in your poll... :o There's nothing the matter with her....looks like she's nicked them. The red football outfit is a dead giveaway... :)
  14. you havent yet proved the correct operation of the light! so how can you say it's working incorrectly? Hence the use of quotation marks. I think you will agree that it does not appear to work the way one would expect it too. Also all other non vw-based vehicles, (that I am aware of) work with the light showing only when active. Please let me know if I am wrong on this. Can the "dark side" throw any more light on this....
  15. I came accross this snippet of info. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Technical solution Problem description Cruise control warning lamp doesn't work Cause The warning lamp for the cruise control is activated by the engine control unit through the CAN bus. Only the latest engine control units supply the necessary CAN bus signal. These are mainly control units, which fulfil the exhaust gas standard EURO 4. All other engine control units do not supply the CAN bus signal "Cruise control switched on". Therefore the warning lamp is not activated. Precise information about the CAN suitability of all control units is not possible because of the great number of variants. Production solution The conversion of all engine control units is planned in the medium-term. Service solution The cruise control warning lamp is fitted in all combination units. But it only works, if the engine control unit supplies the necessary CAN bus signal. If the warning lamp doesn't work, this doesn't indicate a fault of the system, but it means that the CAN bus signal is missing. The CAN bus signal cannot be measured with workshop equipment. Replacing the combination unit or the engine control unit doesn't cure the problem. The owner's manual will be changed for model year 2001. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This may explain why the early mark 2's don't have the light working even though it is physically there. However it still does not explain why it is working "incorrectly".....or indeed why my typing is all over the place?
  16. All the other lamps tell you when something is in use, Indicators, Main Beam, Fog Lights etc etc. Plus of course this is the way of course this is the way it works in other vehicles, only when active !
  17. Sounds like the belt may be a bit like you.......loose
  18. That's alright pet.....let you off this time. Hoping to move asap.....just trying to get the solicitors to get their fingers out. Want to be in before August....believe this is the start of the monsoon season up there.
  19. Did you check the coolant level & the sensor in the lid of the expansion tank ?
  20. Yes if someone shows you how... Anyhow A new rack costs this much A nearly new one cost this much.
  21. It seems a bit contradictory ! It first seems to indicate ( or whoever wrote the manual was being a bit lazy ) that it comes on when the system if switched on......or it could mean when active ? Then secondly it seems to indicate it will come on when active....althoug again it is very badly written. I am assuming that this was originally translated from German. Still none the wiser, although the assumption of illuminating when active does seem more likely.
  22. And.......the MK3 works on active/inactive....yeh I know its a different car but the principle is the same.
