Are you still trying to start the gal with the fuel you bought 3 days ago,,,,,,,maybe contamanated((think I spelt that right :) )and the easy start is starting the gal,,,but the fuel is grap!!!!

Dont know much about desiels,,,,but it sounds like engine timing or fuel pump timing,,,,,,,,almost starts but wont,,,,,,I dont think it is the lack of fuel,,,think it maybe fuel pump timing (((((though I could be wrong and usually I am :) )))) :) :lol:

Best place to buy the cable and software is rosstech.com,,,,,,,but it will cost you plenty,,,,,,,but considering what the product can do,,,,, its propably very cheap,,,,,,

delboyt,,,,I do not know if it is full or semi synthetic or just plain old oil,,,,I was told by another forum member,,,to go to ford and buy the oil for my gal, as I was having problems sourcing the 5w/30 oil,,,,,I went to local ford dealer,,,,,and ask for 5w/30 oil for a 98 2.3 galaxy,,,,, the oil was on a display at the counter,,,,,This is what it says on the can ,,,, "Ford formula e 5w30,,,,high performance fuel economy motor oil" ,,,,,couple of numbers on the can which may help,,,,,, 1 343 795 ,,,,,,,fir no 161452 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,to be honest once I done the filter and oil change ,,,,, the engine sounds quieter,,,,,,but that maybe just me :o

nope,,,we where not bidding on the same one I was the only bidder,,,,,I found over 50 vag-com cables,,,,,I got one with serial plug as my laptop does not have usb,,,,,I am not worried about the ecu part,,,,,As I said I only need it to fault find the ABS,,,,,must be great to be rich,,,,any faults just replace the the car lollll :o

I just found out that the drivers side as a halfords replacement stick-on over the damaged mirror,,,and it still works,,,, :) :) :)

No disrespect to katman,,,,, :) I like MAPLINS,,,, :) No they do not sell a 26.995 quartz crystal,,,, :) I am only guessing,,,but could you not change the recieving crystal to match the transmitting crystal,,,,ie: change both crystals to 20mhz,,,,, :)
