Judder/vibration Under Acceleration
Jayton replied to punka007's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
If you don't get the flywheel changed, drop a gear and drive around it and or don't floor it at 2000rpm in 5th or 6th. -
notchy and noisy - that sums up the whole 'experience'

Short Whirring Noise On Opening Door
Jayton replied to frogeye's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
As the 2.3 is the Ford engine don't get worried if you can't hear the pump prime. -
The 2nd version is out http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/01/28/article-1246801-08103FC5000005DC-202_306x423.jpg

I think you'll find you may need the newer cable that's only available from Ross Tech (or ebay when people are upgrading to a newer cable). The Ross Tech website says 2002/2003+ cars need the new type of cable, now I don't know if that means any new car designed after then or any car made after then. I would have assumed it meant any car made after then. Try this if you want: If the device is listed as using an FTDI driver download the latest from: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm Change the port to 3 in device manager, if there is something using com3 try change that device to another port, or force it to use com3 and reboot with the cable plugged in. Goto the car, plug the cable in to laptop & car, turn car to 'On' or start the car with the engine running either will do. Start VAG-COM and do the test against com3 in the options. I kept trying to test it while it was not plugged in and it returned with the error, I was doing this because someone on another forum said it should still test OK. Tried with it plugged in and it worked! ;)

I just choked on a Nougat bar ;)

I looked @ the S-Maxx and was dissapointed too (I was told they were very similar to the Gal's) with the rear most leg room space.
-
My N/S/R doesn't work, suits me as my daughter has opened the windows @ motorway speeds in my other cars ;) But I should get this fixed anyway and just disconnect hers :( I'm also just outside of Oxford (Wallingford) :(

It may just be a removable 'add-on' for children in Booster seats in that case.

My Last Chance Before She Buys A Vauxhall
Jayton replied to alex c's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Find a walk in Bosch specialist and get the ECU tested! Point out to her the middle row is bench and not individual seats ;) That is what swayed it for me over the Zaffy's fold down seats and group 8 insurance.... Otherwise you'll be joining Vauxhell world :( (I had 1 Vauxhell... never again!) -
It would pull down to reveal the 'integrated' seat. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rear-seat-with-integ...5#ht_1334wt_939 I've messaged someone else as I want ISOFix and think I've found one with it ;) It will make getting the new baby in and out so much easier and keep him/her in the baby seat.

Mine is doing this too and is getting worse... it's also embarrassing. I wonder if Halfrauds do them...

My Last Chance Before She Buys A Vauxhall

Ask on here if someone close would be kind enough to swap ECU's for a few days to confirm that possibility. It does sound like you've tried alot. What ever you do don't let her get a Zaffy! My brother in law prefers my X reg Ghia to his 57 Zaffy! ;) It's also got more toys than his and cost 1/4 the price. -
I'm storing 1 of the rear most seats in the garage to make for more boot space. What is the best way to store it? I'm afraid of covering it in bin liners and moisture building up and fungi growing on the seat. Should I get a load of silica packs and wrap the seat in bin liners and shove the silica packs in? Anything else to look out for / do ?

Yes ABD are reputable, they also offer 10% discount to another forum I'm on ^_^

what does everyone think of it? I think it's just another Apple gimick and I'd much rather have a netbook or windows/linux based tablet.
-
Oh ^_^ Unfortunately Oxford is a bit far from York.
-
It doesn't look that hard of a job mate. The hardest bit is probably jacking the car up ;) After that it's all nuts and bolts ^_^ and maybe resetting the code.
-
perhaps redex might have helped? It's meant to clear out the system too.

Got it working with the new drivers, I read elsewhere that vag-com should detect the cable without being plugged into the car with ign on... I went out to test it one last time with these new drivers and it worked :(
