Basically the gist of the Pepipoo stuff is that for a section 172 (Failing to give drivers details) you send the NIP back filled in and unsigned and it can not be used in evidence. For you then to get done for section 172 they have to send out a police officer to caution you and take a statement. Which is unlikely to happen. Especially if you live in England, out of their area.

Air Con Electrical Problem

First step is to check the switch connector, it can work loose. What age is your car? You may want to put your vehicle model, age and engine type into your signature line so we can help you better. -
Is There A Plumber In The House?
Masked Marauder replied to Masked Marauder's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
Well the day was crap. The system was last serviced over 10 years ago. The drain cocks were jammed and would not budge. The header for the central heating was part of the hot water tank. Inaccessible. No isolator valves. So turn the water off in the kitchen on the rising main. Only that has not been touched for years either. The tap snapped off in my hand. Out into the street and turn it off there. So I then had to loosen off the compression fitting to the valve and drain it from there, a one pint container at a time..... Then 10 minutes after it is drained I refill the system. Bleed the rads and the hot water system. All is good, her heating has never worked better. Tidying away I hear dripping. It is in the airing cupboard but nowhere near the valve. The flange on the header tank on her ancient hot water "box" (it was square, not a cylinder) is leaking. Verdigris all round it so not a new leak, but now disturbed and dripping. She says not to worry for now, she is going out. She puts a bucket under it. I get my money and start to leave and she asks how much for a new tank. I tell her -

Easy Oil Extraction

She scammed me using her work's email address...... D'oh! Any "Sacked for abuse" info? They are investigating it now. The user of that address denys everything of course but she can't explain why she just ignored 3 emails from me, 3 from eBay before they froze her account and four from Pay-Pal. She should have reported them to her boss if it was not her and she did not. -
The 215/60 has a stiffer tyrewall. That is most likely why VW say they don't need to be reinforced.

Done The Maf Now What
Masked Marauder replied to RobD's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I think it will be a problem with the temperature sender. If it fails it defaults to a warm engine setting that will slightly over fuel the engine. That and a dodgy MAF was probably what gave you poor running. -

She did not reply to any of Pay-Pals emails. She has of course made one stupid mistake. All crims do. -

No, we bought the item on eBay, paid by Pay-Pal and the seller never sent it. Pay-Pal debited my account, crdited her and she withdrew the money and did not send the goods. No money in her Pay-Pal account and you lose. -
I overfilled ours by quite a bit on Sunday and Tiff said it was still dripping 30 minutes and five miles later.....

No it is so wide because it is hosted on my own server. Don't worry either Nik, as this is in the techie section as soon as the thread has gone cold I will be cleaning it up, as I have done with so many others lately..... -
It is not possible for the mains to have gone that much that there is half a centimetre of extra crank sticking out, if it had the the balance wieghts would be hitting the block and the flywheel would be against the end of the engine! The auxillary belt pulley is bolted to the timing pulley and has a rubber core to prevent resonance. I think it likely you will find that is the problem, the rubber has persished and gone soft.

And it goes the other way too. You sell an expensive item, say a laptop. The buyer pays promptly by credit card via PP. You ship the laptop registered delivery and it is signed for. Six weeks later you get an email saying the credit card payment has been back-billed and that PP have taken the money out of your bank account! eBay don't want to know, it is over 28 days from the transaction. Pay-Pal don't want to know, it is over 28 days since the transaction and they have their money back. The police don't want to know saying it is a civil matter and suggesting county court action. -
IIRC = If I Recall Correctly OP = Original Poster, in this case, you!

It was a Sony, the same model IIRC as the OPs. The remote was crap because it was too fiddly when driving down the road, they have tried to cram too amny functions onto it in my opinion. I was used to the bigger ones on the trucks at work, more akin to that on the Alhambra.

Pay-Pal and security? In the same sentence? You have not been ripped off then! Just because PP forwards your cash to the seller it does not mean your going to get anything for your money! And the way he keeps pumping the device to, and I quote, "build up the pressure......." -
It looked just like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SONY-RM-X4S-REMOTE-C...1QQcmdZViewItem

I had one of those radios, I bought it about 10 or 11 years ago, when RDS & Traffic Page was the latest thing. The remote was a twiddly little thing that connected using a jack plug. It certainly was not an IrD TV style remote. You stuck it onto the steering column with a sticky pad thing. It was crap.

1. Most likely a faulty sender 2. Describe the light please, colour, markings ect. 3. Most likely a failed "Clock-spring"

You can buy all the component parts of MK1 headlights separately at you VAG dealer, if you just want a lens etc. then it could be cheaper.
