  1. It may also show that people like the window down on a nice day. How many with the window down were smokers?
  2. Them Ford mechanics, they don't know Jack......
  3. Why did the policeman faint? Or is it just an amerikanism pinned onto the end so they know when to laugh....
  4. I made an extension piece for mine from nothing more than the end of a disposable ball point pen....
  5. http://www.car-air-conditioning-supplies.co.uk/
  6. I am not sure there was a 130bhp version available then. My log book says what bhp mine is too.
  7. Pay cash, don't fall into the credit card trap.
  8. Yes, several types are available, an I have tried most of them, but the one I found most durable and robust was a simple fork one like this: http://www.tooled-up.com/artwork/ProdImage/38859.jpg http://www.tooled-up.com/Product.asp?PID=1...Joint-Separator
  9. I bought an M reg Diesel Mondeo on Sunday and noticed the parcle shelf rattle on the way home! lol!
  10. It is simple enough if your careful. Holding the track-rod so it can not turn, unscrew the locking nut Mark the threads where the rod end comes to with tippex Split the ball-joint off Holding the tracking rod so it can't turn, unscrew the rod end Holding the tracking rod so it can't turn, screw the new rod-end on to where the threads are marked Holding the tracking rod so it can't turn, nip up the locking nut Finish re-assembly Repeat for other side Have car tracking checked and adjusted
  11. Different years/models have different wires. Most likely the wires to the rear power sockets if a MK1 though.
  12. It is to cool the condenser in the air con circuit.
  13. That must be a hefty momentary current drain as the fans kick in. Check they are not siezing up. I think they could be two stage fans too, this would suggest a resistor failure meaning they don't work on the lower speed so suddenly going from standing to full load. Did you not have the CC on? The fans should have been running then.
  14. Remove the headlamp assembly, leave the bottom two screws in though, just loosen them enough to remove it. The assembly is a complete unit and just goes back in how it came out, no need to realign.
  15. Tiff and the kids are really looking forward to it now. I am practicing putting the tent up. An hour so far and it is only just looking like a tent...
  16. That is the route I would take anyway because of some bad roadworks on the M25 and on the M1 At that time of the day the only place you are really likely to get delayed much is at Dartford. Have a safe trip!
  17. Why would it effect normal CC? It has nothing in the back.
  18. That is the right area, but your fuel filter is in the way!
  19. Some parts are the same, like the block and pistons, the head etc. so I am sure it could be made to fit. The main difference is the turbo and fuel pump etc. as the AHU is a lower power unit than the AFN.
  20. They are not cut marks BTW, they are simply cracks in the poor quality insulation, mine was like that and that was why it had shorted out.
  21. Had an email this morning confirming my booking and then the tent arrives too.... Looks like I am going!
  22. http://www.intapart.com/ Don't forget that a SEAT engine from an Alhambra or a VW engine from several cars will fit!
  23. It was about 32 degrees yesterday, so your aircon is bang on spec for an R134a system.
  24. I don't know about reinforced tyres on my car, but when Tiff drives they need body armour.....
  25. The cat is mounted immediately after the flexible hose from the engine. It has triangular flanges on each end. Then next back is the center silencer, a pipe, and then the rear silencer.
