The Cruise Control Light Poll!
jkspoff replied to Mirez's topic in What thing irritate you about your Galaxy
I think there is a simple answer to this, my previous 2001 model Galaxy had no CC light, my current 2004 Galaxy has, a modification for the later versions when they overhauled the Mk2 in 2003. Whilst I'm on the subject it would be good to somehow aquire a list of the things that they improved on with the latest mk2's. Mine has got 12 airbags, something the old one didn't have, plus the obvious tweaks to the exterior. Anyone on here work for Ford that could get a list ? -

I believe that pre 2003 mk2 mods the CC light was not installed at all. -

I voted above, my latest model mk2 shows CC light always when CC switched on, active or not, what are you hoping to show from the results ? -

jkspoff replied to jkspoff's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
.....and it was brilliant as usual, won't spoil it for you, but there was a great bit where they made their own police cars and attended a mock accident ! -
Only 30 minutes to go to the new Top Gear series, can't wait, it was what my TV was made for, and one of the last remaining programmes worth paying my TV license for ! Advert here: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=z-230-VhBS0

Wow, I'm getting some ! They look great and very neat, how do they attach, do you need to drill holes in the body work ? Maybe you could even take a pic of the instructions please.... :)
-
I take it that you've just fitted a full leather interior then ? If you have do you mind me asking where you got it from and how much it cost, as I'm looking out for one ? Also just one other question, if you have DVD headrests fitted, do the seats still rotate ? Thanks

Lets just hope it mainly media hype creating a bigger issue, just like the tanker drivers strike causing panic fuel buying.

A warm welcome to you too, I hope you find us to be a wealth of useful information for your Galaxy ownership. ;)

The thing we missed most was the interior space and the higher driving position that the Galaxy has to offer, but the ST220 was just amazing, and one day when I'm wealthier and fuel costs are

The Easy Way To Customise Your Car...
jkspoff replied to mumof4's topic in Customising your Ford Galaxy
Go to Halfrauds and get a touch up pen and some bubble gum to fill the hole ! Sorry to hear of your accident.....if you'd been driving a certain type of taxi then you'd have been claiming for whip lash injuries too :) Just get insurance to do a really good job, thats what they're there for, have got claims protection ? -
Enjoy your beemer, but don't forget the grass isn't greener on the other side ! I went away from my Galaxy to a sporty estate and missed it, and came back... :)

Welcome to the forum, if its the diesel model unfortunately the whining noise could well be the turbo on its way out.

Don't forget most companies offering insurance are just brokers, underwritten by a massive multi-national company. When getting a quote its worth checking who underwrites them, and then do a bit of research to see if they have any poor history on paying out. Belive it or not anyone can set up an internet based insurance company, the many companies offering cheaper insurance are just cutting their profits slightly on the same policies that are bought through them from the larger companies, hence the different prices, so its still worth shopping about !

2.8 Ghia Tracking?
jkspoff replied to cliffbarrimore's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Even on the slightly lighter 1.9 diesel engines the recommended pressures are 41 up front, so for the V6 I would have said at least 44psi. -
If you wouldn't mind checking at the scrapyard when you go, I need the ones that fit the standard Ghia alloys please, they don't happen to have any more leather interiors do they ?thanks.
-
Has anyone got a spare set of the Ghia alloys wheel bolts, I have sold my wheels on ebay and sent them via courier to the guy who bought them but DHL have lost the package containing the nuts ! So I need to source some whilst I try and claim from DHL for the lost parcel, I will of course pay good money !
