    Help

Thank you to everyone I have now ordered a new PSU as the other one has a bit rattling around inside it. Looks a bit black so presume it got fried.(I think I will take up computer repair!!!!) Hopefully it will arrive next week and I will get it fitted and going again. If not I will have to scream, stamp my feet and by a new one I guess. I only hope that the data on my computer will be ok. This one I am using is so slow its doing my nut in. Takes about 15 mins to switch on........... but its is allowing me access to the internet so shouldn't complain. Tried to get the hubbies lap top but he's not playing ball and says if I have broken mine then tough I ain't getting to do the same to his!!! As if..... Mary

Anyone know what the problem could be? Got my old 12 year old one down from the kids room and its sooooooooo slow I need my one back. Not only for speed but all the info on it. Mary

  9. "Me: Do you think that my wife has the technical know how to realise the difference between water bottle and water pump" You should have said you needed a new water pump and cambelt fitted I did mine. Not bad for a female eh? Total cost

  12. Well Done and good luck in your new career. Your blog was really interesting and it did a good job of putting me off becoming a truck driver!!! Mary
  13. I upgraded from a peugeot estate to a Sharan because my parents are getting on and we needed a car that my mother especially could get into and out of easily as she is partially disabled. My 2 boys 4 and 6 also like it cos we can now pick up their pals . Its also handy for picking up my daughter and her 2 kids 5 years - 6 months.(god I'm a Granny!!) The comfort is brill but having test driven a Volvo V70 Estate its nothing compared to it. All said though if I am upgrading to a newer car in future it will be to a Sharan or Alhambra.
  14. Its amazing what pops into your head when reading these posts. Was speaking to a nursing friend last week and they had a guy taken into casualty with a vibrating item :D stuck up where the sun don't shine. :16: They had to operate on him to remove it and all he was concerned about was getting the offending item back :16: Now what that has to do with windscreen replacements I have no idea but it made me laugh quite a bit when she told me
  15. We had around 3" this morning, I didn't get to bed until 4am and there was nothing so it must have been really quick to build up. Its been on and off snow all day but according to the local authority of whom we are contracted out to there is much more forcast for over night. The joys. But we expect snow up here and its not bad really considering the snow we used to get years ago. Mary
  16. What a lovely day up here in sunny Scotland. Beginning to go now though suns out and melting it quite quickly
  17. I went to the "little darlings" to (I have always been a sarky basket) for a quote for 2 new tyres on the front of my pugget last year and they took it in and told me that the whole lot needed replaced plus I needed new discs and pads  (as if) I said no bloody way they could stick it up their none return valve Went inpast a local garage and they said nothing wrong with discs or pads or 2 rear tyres. Which I knew as just because I am a female I ain't flippin stupid. Got 2 new front tyres fitted for

  20. Do you have much of a handbrake? If you look under the back of the car and see if the levers on the calipers are going back to the stops. It they are not try to prise them up with a screwdriver. It could be the cables if not the calipers. I will be here for about 2 hours if that fails to find your prob Mary
  21. Is the handbrake actually going off and its just the light in the dash thats showing it to be on? Mary
