There is a wb site called eerrrr, uuummm, good garage guide or something like that. Lists recomended garages in your area Give it a Google and you should find it.
Give it a try next Friday evening south on the M5.....should be quiet. :P Dont even go there. I HAVE TO use M5 south on the Sat morning to go to Cornwal for the week with 25 feet of caravan on the back. :P I just cant wait. Should get there in time to come back home :D
Now thats strange as i have cruise fitted but hardly ever use it. I just find the roads too congested to go for any long periods of time at the same speed.
Well my honest opinion is 1750KG of van with an auto box is pushing it to say the least. Lots of posts on here about the auto box so grab a cuppa and a pack of biscuits and start reading.
Theres no reason why it wont last a long time but i dont think id buy a car with a slow syncro unless the price was right cos its gonna have to be done at some point.
Sounds like the syncro is on its way out in first gear. Ok its not going to pack up over night but gearbox out and strip down to fix and no they dont all do it. 100K is nothing for a Gal Diesel.
Have a look here and see what you think Not sure if your van will be listed but if not pick one of the same weight and it will work out your towing limits. http://www.whattowcar.com/
If you are towing it with the volvo, just be carefull , looks a bit heavy ! check out your weights! Radiotwo Hmmm just what i was thinking. Fleetwood build a very good van but they dont come light.
With regards to the seats, i had mine MOTed last week and didnt even think about the rear two seats missing but nothing was said by the tester and it passes with no problems.
Ive never bought at auction before but i have been tempted. Its ok as long as it turns out to be a good un like yours, but with my luck id end up with someone elses problems.
(I saw the funniest thing the other day... a A4 2.0 TDI cabriolet!!!) :angry2: There are loads of top end rag tops on the market nowadays, but keep it quiet as the Mrs wants a rag top and im trying to talk her into an old MGB but not avin much luck :) .
I went to fill the wifes pile of french poo up the other day with petrol. It was only when the nozzle wouldnt fit that i notice id picked the diesel one up by mistake. Its a pity i hadnt filled it with diesel cos it would have given my a good excuse to burn the pile c**p
If your used to getting around 25 mpg then go for the V6 (and thats from a diesel driver) I used to have a MK1 V6 and that only done around 20 mpg. The only thing i dont understand with this LPG conversion stuff is just how long or how many miles do you have to do to get your money back. I was reading a magazine the other day and someone had wrote in to say they had their cor converted and should get their money back in 4 years.WHY BOTHER. Ok if your doing 100K a year then it makes good sense or If you buy a car with it fitted for not much extra purchase price then fine but i wouldnt bother other wise. Im sure the V6 is a great car to drive and if petrol was
The ST looks a very clean tidy car. Ive always wanted an ST estate but cant justify the running costs as i do a lot of short journeys. im sure youll be sorry to see it go.
