I've got to ask. Why would you want the windows tinted? Mine are just the standard, come with the car, tinted. They seem to work well and I have no desire to add to them.

I have a Mitac Mio 168 PDA with TOm Tom software and it is great. I had a proper fitted sat anv in my last car but would not go back to that again. The Mitac comes with all of the car fittings you need and at least you can take it out and use it on foot if needed and also as a PDA for regular use. I paid , about a year ago,

I am about to have my first service on my Gal. Is this the time I need to check the sills after as i remember the numerous posts about the subject before but cannot remember if it was the service or another reason. The other question about them is what do they bend\dent exactly so I know what to check for straight after. Cheers people.

I thought the main idea for having reinforced tyres was for safety, carrying heavy loads etc. I must admit that I feel safer knowing they are reinforced and surely it doesn't affect other aspects of handling or does it?? I guess I'll get someone on here now telling me I'm talking out of my a**e.

Why not have an external modulator that plugs directly into any headphone socket to save messing about with wires, connections etc. I have one that I got from radio shack and it works a treat with no noticiable interference when I'm using it. It runs from either 2 aa batteries or can be plugged into the ciggie lighter.

Tim I've got to ask. How did you get Freeview working eg equipment , arials etc. I bought a tv tuner a while back and seperate powered arials but still havn't got round to installing them yet on my factory fitted DVD player system. Freeview sounds a much better option. thanks in advance.

My Cd changer is part of the radio in the dash. It has only got a single slot but you can load up to 6 CD's into it. I'm not sure what the connections you have in the boot area are for and maybe someone else can shed some light on the subject.

Strange ???? I've got an 03 Ghia that has the multi media (DVD etc) and still has the CD changer. Or do you mean you have Sat Nav as well? ;) ;)

I should imagine that -RW would work in the same way as -R. That is, either they will work normally or come out in black and white. It always seems a bit hit and miss to whether copied DVD's work properly at all on this unit.

Hi again Tim Strange about the DVD especially if it came form Smiths, should be R2. You can normally tell if its a Region 2 disk by the Certificate rating on it i.e. for UK 15, pg12, 18 etc. and for US region 1 they have R, pg13 and so on. Is your home DVD player multi region? Never had a R2 disk here, yet, that doesn't play correctly on the unit. As I mentioned earlier, its only copied disks I've had trouble with. Good luck Dave

The DVD unit is a Visteon MB-8000. There are lots of threads already about these wonderful units. :unsure: ;) Main thing is that you can't hack them and also there isn't alot of functions to play around with either. I have lots of copied DVD's (all legal of course as they are backups for me) and some play ok and others will not i.e. comes out black and white etc. Sounds like you have a proper copy though so interesting if it is a region 2 and not playing properly.

Love mine. I bought it from Ebay and its the cheap version which works different from the one GSMguy uses, and yes, I think my willy is longer now!!!

Anyone know where to get a set of Galaxy mudflaps at a good price. Its for the new shape and I have checked Ebay, but no luck.
