Intermittent Front Wipe
Ivor_E_Tower replied to tiny's topic in What thing irritate you about your Galaxy
My personal settings very rarely need to be wiped :D -
Torrential rain, thunder/lightning and hail here. No chance of washing the car - many roads semi-flooded with huge puddles because the drains are blocked by falling leaves and the local council haven't been round sweeping the leaves up this autumn yet....
-
Just outside Camberley, Surrey ... which you could have guessed at really, as the text by my name on all posts is a bit of a give-away. ..and before you ask, I have no idea what you call someone from Camberley...Camberlarian perhaps? I consider myself to be a Guildfordian.
-
..and have you immersed your Gal in liquid nitrogen then ???
-
No roof bars? Then you have nothing to hold onto when you stand on the rear tyres to clean the roof.....

(1) Mis-read GTEUK's post at first, thought he said that the confounded Kevin is from Eastbourne ! (2) Did you know when Honda started selling the NSX supercar in the UK, most were snapped up by rich pensioners living in and around Eastbourne. Honda UK were quoted as saying something along the lines of "we knew we had a lot of rich retired people living on the south coast who bought our cars, but we didn't realise just how rich they were!"

Eddie Jordan (former Formula 1 team boss) had a Galaxy fitted out as a mobile office with comfy chair, desk, printer, fax, PC, multiple telephones etc etc

I have a tin of red hammerite in my paint cupboard.......
-
What paint did you use? Brush-on high-temp? ... or Dulux? or something else? Primer? ...and what did you use to clean the callipers before painting them?
-
I had my back to the petrol pumps to take the photo of the "Next". There were also signs in this end of the car park saying "Police operation in progress" - I hope that the NHS knows about that sideline......
-
..and further along, the "Next" shop... Well, I hung around from 12:30 to just after 1:30, walked round the carpark, camera in hand, a couple of times..... I saw a purple-blue Galaxy driving round a couple of times looking for something (maybe other Galaxys???) so that could have been "one of us", but nobody else sitting or standing around a Galaxy/Sharan/Alhambra looking is if they were there for a "meet"
-
Well, I was there. This is the third internet- based "meet" I have been to, where I appear to have ended up being on my own... Just look at all those cars in the car park

Lyneham - Wootton Bassett - M4 Eastbound Leave at the first junction for Reading, follow road towards Reading for about 1/4mile (if that). Turn left at the first roundabout you come to...and that's it! Hard to get lost
-
..so it could just be 99 and me ??? Or just 99?
-
Bump...it's getting closer and closer........have washed the car today in preparation (for what?) although I am not sure if I will definitely be there...fingers crossed, folks.... and what about a quick "yes" from all those who will definitely be there? 2 days to go, and counting.....

Has Anyone Tried These?
Ivor_E_Tower replied to bigdave982's topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
It will stop the front seats rotating (for those who have them..) -
Veils...... Closed by Glen exhausted subject
Ivor_E_Tower replied to NikNak's topic in Debating forum
It does stop re-offending if the criminal is caught first time round though..... -
You can get the VW "flick-lock" keys but it costs.......

Mine (Oct 2000 build) must be similar to mum-of-4's...first car I have had with alloys on, and maybe the last.... The lacquer is peeling, covered in black and white deposits and they cannot be refurbished by the "mobile" restoration companies. Apparently due to the mirror polished finish, the lacquer just does not "take" when it is sprayed on. Not got time or money to investigate having them "done" which involves stripping and re-machining ! at about

How old are the tyres? (age not mileage) They sometimes go "odd" after a few years and literally throw wobblies that you cannot get rid of by wheelbalancing
