I am aware some people wanted merchandise some time ago and I did not have the time to do it plus outlay could have been an issue for all the different designs required. I have now however set up a small shop with a company that do what is called print on demand, so this is not so much of an issue although the prices are slightly higher than if I was to buy bulk. Anyway it is your choice and I do not expect ppl to buy the stuff unless they really, really want to. The downside: The company is based in america and priced in Dollars, however I have heard good reports and do beleive the delivery is quite good. to work out the

Averaging Nearly 1/4 Million Hits A Day
Gteuk replied to Gteuk's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
It does cost more than a pretty penny as it is on a dedicated server with a dedicated line into it, as you are aware there are 3/4 other forums on the server one of which has similar traffic to this one and another growing rapidly and soon to join the ranks of high usage. I have put some means of funding on the sites so hopefully that will cover some of the costs in the future  -

Averaging Nearly 1/4 Million Hits A Day

It was called that name cos hits don't really mean a thing but everyone uses them as a benchmark. What is important is the amount of visitors and page views as this gives a more accurate impression as to how successful a site is, as you can see by the accurate figures this site is very successful. -

I'm Car Hunting......any Suggestions?
Gteuk replied to mumof4's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
I take it you mean "Individual Voluntary Arrangement" between you and he? Depends on the wording but possesion is 9/10 the law, its a civil matter not a criminal so if the agreement is between him and the finance company then they should persue him and not you. No matter what the circumstances at the time of the finance agreement he was the one that purchased the car not you and therefore it is his responsibility financially. We can all at the end of the day buy stuff on finance and after a couple of years say we don't want it and stop paying. The financial obligation is still there and it is very rare that they will take the goods back as colateral they will persue a CCJ instead, since the agreement is not in your name they cannot persue you no matter what. If the car was purchased on one of the newer schemes like "yes car credit" then it is secured on the vehicle but the agreements are full of holes. At the end of the day no matter what the arrangement between you and he it has nothing to do with the arrangement between him and the finance company, take legal proceedings agains him which will then interupt any other legal proceedings against the car. -

You never know at the hearing they may wipe out some of the debt as they are insured anyway to a degree cant remember if it is the capital or the interest though. I have heard of people getting 45% knocked off the bill, what they will look at is the value they can get from the car in auction to recover the amount, they will usually say 30 - 40% of the highest book value, this is all dependent on the county though. The underlying factor is whos name is the agreement in etc, etc. They may see it as not being viable to persue the money through sale and offer you another alternative, i.e. payment over a longer term, If it goes CCJ I am sure they have to freeze interest but don't quote me. You could also start proceedings for an administration order where you could keep the car but all your bills would be taken into account and a small amount paid monthly, But that would be an absolute last resort if, you had a lot of outstanding bills, and not just a car that was not your fault in first place. -

I would say get the cam belt done no matter what when buying a car just to be safe, if it has a years MOT check the advisory slip just so you know what needs doing in the future. Check the front end chasis for any signs of welding, just in case it has been in a crash, saw a program last week where two identical cars were crashed one was OK-ish no harm would have come to the occupants the other would have sliced the legs off, that one had previously been in a crash and fixed. PS my mondeo has gone, personally although reliable the cosmetics were not great, I tend to run cars into the ground and get another when they fail MOT. Although I just put 12 month ticket on it recently. -
prison break and pegz do save best scores, just noone has been able to complete prison break cos it is really hard and pegz goes on lowest scores. Will look at the others though.

Boys and their toys, Got an off grid solar system (ones used in caravans and boats) the other week and decided that today we would play with it, I am well chuffed with it :o Easy to put together, installed the panels, batteries, controller and inverter. It was really sunny so a good day to test it and how impressed I am, 46" plasma screen and a load of light bulbs running off it without a problem. Its only a 250w portable system so I did not expect miricals but it will be going to chester races with me on family day, woohoo. Boss and I spent all day playing with all manor of solar systems today, now we played with the little ones next week we are playing with the big boys 3kw arrays...

Finally got mine taken off rate adaptive and all is well I get what I want now :o For speed tests use this link http://217.32.105.42/ it will ask you for your number and login name, it then stores the information and your ISP and BT wholesale have access to the results, it is the only speed test they take seriously, problem is it takes ages and does not work all the time, what else can you expect ;)
