1,might be the clutch plate working loose,does it sound like a bunch of cats screaming? 2,immobilizer problems maybe?have you done a search on here for the problem? 3,does your rear washer work?if not then theres is a pipe that runs done the passenger side that has come apart,again do a search.or it might be a leak/blocked pollen filter letting by?

where are the pipes from?

are youreally sure the wires are ok???has been known that on closer inspection there have beenproblems.

well i changed my tensioner/belt and pulley yeaterday,after have inital problems on how the spline tool works,sussed it out and worked out which bit went where, compared to the new 1 the old tensioner was kernackerd,the pulley was siezed a good en and the belt was totally shagged,all cracked and starting to fray. reckon if i had to do it again i would do it in less then half the ammount of time it did take me,but its all confidence.so all is quite now. oh and 1 thing i would say is DONT DROP THE BLOODY SPLINE TOOL THROUGH THE ENGINE ONTO THE UNDERTRAY. like what i did WHATA PRAT:o luckily for some apparent reason about 2 weeks ago i was in lidl and bought an extendable magnet,BOY was that handy,saved me having to take the undertray off.

saif just for info m8,there is someone selling pats chips or they were on ebay?,they also sell the complete blank and chip aswell.wether they are selling at the mo,fraid you will have to search.

did you have a new tensioner and belt fitted as well richard? good price for doing the work,i had a price from a m8s m8 garage and was quoted around

well its been snowing here for about 1hr and already its about 1/2 inch,weather forcast is blizzard like conditions,normally it by passes us because of the south downs but if and when we get it,its quite bad. so i wait to see whats what in the morning. be careful out there peeps.

well ive bought the new pulley and belt from gsf,and have today recieved the sealey tool kit to do the job,so aslong as it isnt to bloody cold at the weekend guess what ill be doing. oh and if anyone near me is suffering with the same probs,then they are more then welcome to borrow the tool off of me.

welcome to the forum matt, no 1,there is someone on ebay that does a kit so you can mend your door lock. no 2,either obtain a trim removal tool,and after making sure you have removed any bolts,either with tool remove card or give it a bloody good tug,be careful not to bend it,you might just be able to lift it up ?. no 3,frost warning lights,i think,or in other words kin cold. no 4,check everything again aswell as brake fluid and p/steering and oil. no 5,does your car have it?lol on the stalk there should be a lever/switch when slid it should activate the cruise,once your over 30 mph.there should be a light to tell you its on. take a look in the faqs,found in the tech section of the forum lots of info,or use the search facility to see if any problems have been posted before. hth gregers

as im reading my speedo which could be wrong to how im sitting behind the wheel? be intresting to see what a digital speedo reads compared to a sat nav.

cheers mirez,that exactly what mines doing,so i guess if you dont use the heater/blowers at all on any journey then i suspect the booster will turn off fairly soonest and stay off,proves how efficent the engines are then?booster kicks in to maintain heat for the occupants and the engine. you know what that means???? im only going to get about 39-45 mpg now :)

saif,have you tried this with a sat nav,my garmin is only about 1 mph difference from the speedo readout.but i agree the speedo is a guestamation.
