I thought that the vertical pipe which disappears into the sill from the booster heat was the air intake for the heater - possibly the fums were going back up it - there is a post here wh talks of this very thing
sounds like from the sucking that its being starved of air (why this would make the engine management light turn on ?) stalls after a while , after enough air has flowed in over time it can restart - whats the condition of the air filter ??
yep I can confirm the window works I can see through it :D umm I have a door that does that I think its something to do with the deadlock system since mine locks with the others and then it sounds lke ints operating the lock again (but its still locked ) in my case I can be cured by wiggling the cables - must sort them out sometime
It is possible to disable user programming of keys (on the mk2 at least) in software - used apparently for fleet vehicles (btw think the red key programming is different)
passenger window will probably be a problem with the loom in the door to pillar connection examining wires seized wiper linkage is quite common unseizing wiper linkage
