  1. IIRC the trip computer etc is already fitted to the zetec - it needs enabling (had our instrument cluster replaced and when picking the car up we didnt have the trip computer - took it back and they enabled it in 10 mins - master tech said its present on all clusters)
  2. just had cambelt done and was told by ford dealer that it was guaranteed against failure for 5years/40k buit that the water pump which I had done at the same time was guaranteed for 12 months
  3. bloody hell - they will soon try and tell us that the climate is changing too :D
  4. one of the problems is that as the doors are opened and closed and the wires disturbed the symptoms change - I have the passenger rear window which usually open and closes from drivers door, opens on global but doent always close on global closure and someties wont open on its own door switch but always closes arrrgh ..., after wiggling rubber boot its ok again - must get round to sorting it out properly
  5. I would be having another look at the wiring - I know you've looked once already but a broken conductor inside unbroken insulation is difficult to spot - often needs a second look
  6. umm so which is the outside lane then ?? the faster one near the central reservation (my choice) or the one nearest the verge/hard shoulder (the missus) I'll get my coat .....

  8. no you dont - simple countersunk allen key bolt removes disc with calipers off (same as front - picture of front here thanks to lim for the picture
  9. temps given here on post 162 of this topic amount should be on a plate in the engine compartment gals with c/c have dual control for front/back but this is not neccessarily dual air con though
  10. makes me think it is a wiring problem - try pushing and pulling the rubber boots without taking it all apart if it happens again - several problems are often present here - wires broken in the insulation, cracked insulation allowing wires to short out intermitently
  11. ah here is a step by step guide based on the alhambra
  12. easy job - get a brake rewind tool though (looks like ...)- loosen bleed nipple as you push back to stop any crap being forced back into the abs system (according to TIS not strictly needed
  13. does it need adjusting - push pluger and then actuate brake
  14. maybe item 34 in the faq would help ??

  22. ok i you have two sandglass timers - one times 4mins and the other times 7 minutes - its not possible to accurately gauge the amount of sand/time in each glass(by eye) how can you time a 9 minute period??
  23. oh and the reason was the continual 'Check pad warning' search (advanced) using 'slow, fuel' without quotes and nikpv in the members box should give 5 hits
  24. other symptoms were problems with the fuel gauge IIRC it would read low when we knew it was fullish when our alarm went off the lights didn't flash either .....
