  1. I believe they are Ultrasonic (Ford calls them volume alarm sensors) IIRC it does have some alarm/locking type indicator functions
  2. O its a madhouse alright - welcome - I reckon us oilburners must outnumber the gas guzzlers by now perhaps we'll have a poll
  3. IIRC Fords handbook says nothing about the clock but then on Mk2's its an analogue clock, I wonder how much variation there is between gals,Als and Sharans?
  4. Hi Anadin - please don't take offense - its much easier for others to read if you type your reply after the last /quote tag cos it then leaves the quote in blue with your reply in black, in this case we have to go back to the original post and spot what you added :D :D Ps I reckon there is some sort of focusing effect of all the water in your brain (not personal honest :) )
  5. moderators :) :) :P :D :D
  6. you mean the first one ? pronounced, xi - nope
  7. as per title then :) :) :P
  8. Sorry - mine has recently done some studying (science OU) needs some more sophiticated to fool mine :) :)
  9. yes - coding one key removes the others :) you have to code all the keys at one session for PATS and all remote keys in one session :) details in the FAQ
  10. I believe you can have a maximum of eight keys which will start and run the car (PATS system) four of which can be remote (GEM - system) If you have 2 keys which start the car you can program 6 more if they have been cut to actuate the ignition lock - we got one from Fords for
  11. Certainly were on the old IrD remote locking, the manual for the mk2 galaxy says point remote at the rear view mirror when programming but I reckon this is just a hold over from the old IrD system. As you can see from the diagram (based on LHD sharan which is all I could find) in the thread below there is nothing at the top of the windscreen, IIRC the antenna is in the control box - couldn't confirm this though Link to thread with remote locking components
  12. usually someone here will mention the door led and spare key :) - if you posted here perhaps it was missed :)
  13. failure of clock spring (steering wheel) appears to be a common problem with air bag
  14. Which one of these letters is the odd one out?
  15. charming - I'm sure he has a heart of gold :) :)
  16. don't know what model/year you have but tis implies that on a mk2 there is a cover to the handle with a clip/screw behind and that mk1 needs would help if you add you car details to your signature see the link in my sig if unsure :)
  17. 2 pairs of minature co-op binoculars for the kids :)
  18. Just the writer of the lyrics and the fact that the music was added later . :) so not so much of a long shot then :)
  19. in the faq now ! :)
  20. no problem - since we now have it on the site which is useful if the external site changes/moves/goes down :) btw - added to faq :)
  21. Very good - I've submitted it for the fAQ although the information is already linked to here Useful external links third link down - credited to funbus :D :) :)
  22. if you have the IrD remote you will have two little domes one near the rear view mirror and one in the rear of the car (above tailgate IIRC)
  23. often use them to pull a gentle stream of cold air from the aircon at the front through to rear passengers :P
