  8. For some reason the water inmy windscreen washer has started to skink (a cross between cat P*ss and rotten food). i have emptied the bottle several times to no effect, my next step is to try a mild solution of bicarbonate soda diluted in the bottle to flush it. Any other suggestions gratefully recieved. Andy B

  10. ok took the wife and kids to look at the car, they really liked it, we tried to check everything we could. Wipers worked ok although rear one hasnt got wash facility is this right, aircon has just been fixed so that worked fine although not as powerful as my passat, but i like how you can set different temps for each side of the cabin. Checked oil level and filler cap again all fine. Brakes and discs were fine, rear pads will need changing in a few thousand, but we only do about 5k a year. Wheel locking nut was present. Check passenger footwell for damp, this could be the reason no rear washwipe. It can get expensive if you get water in the electronics

  12. Just got back from north west Brittany, took the cheap option and went via Speed ferries (Very cheap when compared to western channel crossings) 7 hour drive to the campsite did over 2,000 miles travelling around and got 45.7 on average mpg. Took the whole of our camping gear plus bikes inside the car very impressed with the Gal. Also used tomtom mobile 5 to navigate, what a brillant bit of kit. I would recommend it to any one. Great campsite at half what a comparable site would cost in the uk 20 euros a night (yelloh campsites la foret founasant). Brillant food and the wine wasn't bad too. Andy B
  13. Pop down to your local fraud dealer and ask for it, they gave me mine without charging. Andy b

  16. now to make my week complete the new electric gubbins comes tomorrow and birmingham win (well I can dream)
  17. They undid the 5 retaining scews, unhooked the botton pulley wire from its clamp which enabled them to lower the window half inch and then they could access the two window clamps.hey presto job down the fuse was number 53 one of the smaller fuse off a relay appartantly.
  18. reference above,.I am still in a state of shock but, took a trip down to my local Ford dealer not only did they give me my radio code the changed my fuse and removed my electric winder unit for NO charge what so ever. even after I said i would fit my new winder myself. very impressed saved me no end of work tomorrow. well down Bussey's ford of Norwich
  19. I am assuming to get the serial number the radio got to be taken out. the way my lucks running i see if Bussey ford have it. I have also tried fuse 55 and it was ok interir lights still not working. I might have to cut my loses and go to Busseys
  20. also i seem to have lost my courtsey lights any one know which fuse this is and where it is located
  21. Whilst attempting to fix my electric window i have pulled the wrong fuse and disconnected my radio. now I need the code which i don't have. does anyone know if ford would have my radio serial number so i can get the code off the tis manual.
  22. Right guys and girls, I have tried the wires they are okay I can only assume the winder is broken or stuck/jammed any ideas how i can take the window out with it stuck in the down position. there seems to be no fail safe like the sunroof to wind the window up a bit to get at the clamps holding the glass in place. the tis isn't much help as it only shows how to take out the window when it is working properly.
  23. The trouble is the tis doesn't give a clue how to wind the window up manually
