My rear passenger electric window is stuck in the down position. I have tried the usual methods global closing ect. the motor clicks when trying to open the window, but nothing happens when trying to close the window. The wiring looks ok but i have to remove the winder to check it further. Havis checked my tis manual I know I have to remove the winder mechanism. But herein lies my problem, the window won't go up or down. I can't access the two clamps to remove the glass to take out the winder.(the window is to far down i can get the hinge side one undone, but not the lock side one) short of breaking the window I am flumoxed any ideas lads and lasses. or is it a trip to frauds to fix the problem with my cheque book. Andy B why does it always happen on a bank holiday

I noticed mayonaise forming on my oil filler cap. I am not losing water and the oil looks clean, power from the engine is fine. I have took the gal in for a service today and asked them to do a compression test and a chemical test for coolant in the oil. The only thing I have thought of so far is, I mostly do short journeys of 5 miles to work and the engine probably isn't up to operating temperature, I have recently done a 400 mile round trip without any problems the gal ran fine. I also I need to replace the glow plug on the smoke making machine at the back. I think that the aux heater also heats the water coolant for the air con? could this be the cause of my problems. any suggestions welcome. Hopefully it won't be expensive as my last Gal 2.8, timing chain tensioner went on that one very expensive. Andy B

Speed Cameras
norwichbluenose replied to norwichbluenose's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
the english one was behind me and I was speeding between 5/10 mph my fault tries after a long journey their was a car behind me. can I ask for a copy of the photo the camera took (the most annoying thing about all of this is I knew the camera was there, even told myself to slowly pull away at the lights but forgot) -
Having never been flashed by a speed camera. I think I have been flashed twice in one day, but in different countries. Once in France and once in England, the one in England one I am not to sure about As it seem a long way back when the camera flashed and another car pulled up sharp. Any advice would be grateful

Warranty Direct Recommendations
norwichbluenose replied to a topic in Questions about the Ford Galaxy
Don't save your money. In my experience they always use fair wear and tear. plus you can't service the car yourself -
You will also need some towels a bucket and the Wife's hair dryer.

My newish gal(1.9 tdi 01) Mk2 has an annoying whistle. It only happens between 50 and 70ish and seems to be comming from the top of the bonnet. I have tried running without windscreen wipers to eliminate these still whistles, I wouldn't mind buts its not even a tune you could get to like.
