Let me know if you need a changer! I would offer you the seats from ours, as they are very rarely used, but it would leave us the same problem if we ever sold it or needed to use them I`m sure somewhere there is a European Galaxy seat mountain!

They would be able to tell how long the red diesel was used in the car from the sample they take.....it would leave behind some indication (as a percentage of the fuel in the tank) for quite some time after. However the more fuel that passes through the system the lower the percentage marker that would be left in the system. And contrary to popular belief it doesn`t have to be "red" to be rebated fuel.....some clever people can take the red dye out (but it can still be detected by HM Revenue & Customs as the red dye also has chemical properties that re-agents detect)

I now have a spare load cover (no brackets) in anthracite dark grey I collected this one from Southampton while I was on holiday recently and paid

Ours does the same!! Its a 1996 Tdi...we didn`t know you had to brake to put them out..but the left one always stays on We thought it was because we had a tow bar fitted that it had affected it somehow?

We have a 1996 Galaxy Tdi. We have been told that we need an infra red type key due to the year of manufacture. Can anyone tell me what shows the difference on the keys? Keep seeing posts about the 433mhz frequency.......is this still marked on an infra red type key?

Sorry should have been clearer I got the load cover from Ebay and the plastic parts of the "holding system" from a guy over on the MEG forums......but I don`t have the metal part that goes behind the panel onto the chassis I was just wondering if I could make do with fixing the plastic part in place without the metal bit? Failing that I`m hoping that VW will sell me just the metal part Mine didn`t have them already in place behind the panel :P

Hi Got a load cover....got the outer plastic parts....missing the metal parts which rivet to the chassis Bit of a long shot, but has anyone got a picture of what they look like? Will phone VW in the morning to see if I can buy them on their own but can`t see it myself? I have the side panels off BTW if anyone wants a picture of whats behind there,etc. Was thinking that although the brackets are quite substantial is the metal part a bit over the top? I can see that I could fix them to the side panels without connecting them to the chassis? Anyone got any constructive thoughts on that? (I`m aware that there will be a reason for the metalwork part but just wondering if the side panel will be strong enough to take the load cover?) Anyone?

I had to repair the chair in mine as the previous owners child had used the arm of the chair to pull himself into the car for the very same reason!

Can you point me in the right direction where this information comes from? I looked in the handbook to see if it said specifically that the tyres must be re-inforced but couldn`t find anything! Is there any way of telling from the tyre that its the correct one?

Only tried it once but on mine I got one key working then, when I got the second working the first stopped. So I assumed some sort of rolling code too! Regards. Oggy. No expert but from what I have read and other ford cars....you need to code them one after the other during the coding sequence.

Not all others have black Teresa has been pointed out. Mine hasn't either. Ours is Ghia model and has chrome Seen one with neither.....just the red reflector surface going behind the number plate
