Wtf! Cambelt Intervals!
adrianf. replied to buford_t_justice's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
It seems good old fraud dont know their arse from the elbow again. When i bought my 2002 TDI 50,000mls 6 months ago there was no record of the belt being done so i got them to do it as part of the deal. I didnt realise at the time being a novice with the Gal that the idler and tensioner should have been done as well ( i bet they didnt do it ) . I still havnt had it done 58,000mls and was wondering about the urgency in having it done. -
Just incase anyone is interested there is someone selling 4 parking sensors with mounts and wiring loom on ebay (no its not me)They are bound to be alot cheaper than Fraud........Auction end 7.30pm tonight

Hi The best option is to go for the detachable towbar but thease tend to be more expensive. I fitted an ordinary flange type one to mine and found that by bending the electric socket foward a bit i got away with not setting the sensors off. I have since fitted a cycle rack bracket and a spacer plate but had to fix the socket under the bumper a bit as the sensors were just catching it. I also put some black tape over the middle two sensor as they were being a bit tempermentle with the socket at times, this didnt make any difference to the use of the outer two as they seem to be ample for judging when reversing Hope this helps

Hi had the same problem with mine a few weeks ago. All i did was to remove the black trim from the bumper which you can lever out from either end but dont pull it out too far as my sensors didnt have much spare cable on them. If the sensor drops down in side the bumper just get i piece of wire and fish it back out. Sometimes the holder for the sensor can come unstuck from the inside of the black trim but a good dollop of glue fixed mine no probs Hope this helps

MMMM i understand what you are saying but 2 moaning kids in the back all the way to yorkshire and back. All of a sudden 115bhp sounds ample. I think ill keep looking for a closer one, theres got to be one just a case of finding it..

Hi, it was the first Galaxy he had done, so he'll which one it is, my name is James. My remap is very easy to live with, same as before if you want it to be by being less harsh on the accelerator or grunt and torque if you push harder. It is well worth

Hi all. Does anybody know where i can get a good remap done in the south west. Have been reading all the coments on here and am starting to get the erge. The one in Scarborough sounds fab but its too far for me to travel. Had a quote from one local tuning company who uses an independant company to do their remaps but they would like to relieve me of over

Jacuzzi on roof is fine cos any water that spills wont matter as most Gals are full of it anyway
-
oh of course why didnt i think of that,

MMMMMMMM that sounds good, but if you kept all 7 seats would you still have room for the jacuzzi in the back..

If money was no object i dont know about bunny wheels ,i was thinking more along the lines of bunny GIRLS

If money was no object but you had to keep your Gal, what sort of mods would you do to it
-
I know you can get the mats on ebay but not sure of the quality.

I think you only have to have one fitted to the drivers side as far as i know. I tow a caravan with my Gal and have no mirrors fitted as like you i can see ok but not sure how the law would like it.

Just had 2 weeks in the Isle of Wight. Fab weather. Done 750 mls of which 500 of those were on the island itself (went round quite a bit). The old Gal returned about 38 mpg which considering you hardly get into 5th let alone 6th i thought wasnt too bad9 The climate even worked the whole 2 weeks with no probs.

Glad you are all ok. It just goes to show how easy these sort of things can happen
