do you have climate control ? by the way, welcome to this addicting forum!
-
Why doesn't the normal physics apply here? I thought black things absorbed all light and reflected nothing to give it the "black" look. So surely, as you're attracting all the light, your car will heat up even more!

please please please can you let me know how much your MPG changes by, driving around town and on the motorway please? ALso, how much are you paying to get it remaped?

Two Questions In One
sanjsanj replied to Dr Pete's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Hiya, I replaced the fog light on my sharan while it was in for a service....i just went in while i saw it was on that lift thing (what they put the car on, to lift it up if any work is needed underneath the car). You have to put your hand behind the light bulb i.e say the fog lights are level with your head and you are looking at it from the front end of the car, towards the rear of the car, put your hand directly behind the fig light....there is a cover there and it may be hard to open....you might also be able to do it with a jack if its high enough... if you dont understand the above then ask me and i'll try to explain in a better way. dont know about the other one -
have you got a vag com by any chance? or anyone else around bedford?

hmmm, when i forst got the VR6, i noticed that it used alot of fuel (NOTHING ELSE)....but there was plenty of power. I asked VW to check it and they said a faulty MAF. they replaced it...everything was alright...i opened the bonnet to put some water in and the MAF wasn't even connected! when i connected it, it didn't feel any different! In that case they probably never replaced it either - hope they didn't charge you too much - :) :D yeah, it was done under warranty  have you got someting to check the fault codes? how much of a difference will it make to the MPG? on both vr6 and tdi? how much difference does it make to a vr6? because, as it is, there is no lack of power!

Sk Changes His Glowplugs - Well 2 Of Them
sanjsanj replied to seatkid's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
how do you mean check your glow plugs with a light bulb? what do you do with the light bulb and glow plug? -
Just unplugged the sensor and drove it up my least favourite local hill. What a difference! It can pull the skin off a rice pudding after all. So I assume the next step is to buy a new one then eh! yep, the obvious thing to do is to buy a new one- may get a cheap one from your local breakers. What if Big Al left it unplugged? does he still have to get a new one or can he just leave it like that?

yes disconnect it - no improvement or stays the same definitely the Maf, but even if it gets worse it still could be the maf - read the threads above see my post here Hang on, if there no improvement when you disconnect it, how can this show that the MAF is faulty? surely this shows that the MAF is ok? I thought that if there is improvement, then it shows that the MAF is faulty....

Error Code Reading Equipment
sanjsanj replied to FamilyWagon's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
what do you need to talk to the whole car then? because i've read that to check the aux heater you need to search for address 18 and its not listed in the picture above... -
thats not a check for remote locking....it may just have the basic central locking without the REMOTE central locking.... i think the only way to find out is to ask dealer for a spare key and see what he says UNLESS anyone knows where the sensor is located to receive the radio signal from the remote control come to think of it, does anyone really know where its located?
-
firstly, do you do to drive 50K a year? how do you get your tyre to last soooo long? you know, if gorden brown gets his way then road tax for you would cost more than your house! :16: (that mileage related thing)
-
yeh, i noticed this as well....now i always make sure that i press it once... the alarm only activates if the deadlocks are on. when it is activated, it will sound if one of the "doors" open. deadlocks stop any door opening from the inside or outside. so, to summarise: alarm on=deadlocks on dead locks on= no door can open no door can open= no alarm going off whats the point of the alarm then?
-
exterior does the aux heater run according to the ambient temperature given by the sensor for the climate control? basically i wanna see if it turns on at 5 or 10 degrees, can i use the clim control temp to justify this?
-
you HAVE to take the p dont you? it obviously deadlocks, its standard...

cool, let us know how you got on in the end! by the way, what reg/spec is it? how much are you paying? Its a W reg 1.9TDi (110) Zetec with 67000 on clock, he wants about 6.5K for it screen price. Hey i think thats a bit too much.... WHATCAR? PRICES: http://www.whatcar.com/newautotrader/valuations_search.asp also check parkers..... If you're buying from a ford shop, then you can easily drop the price by about 4-5 hundred.... ANOTHER GREAT way of reducing the asking price is to check everything, and i mean EVERYTHING!! all the electrics, whether the car pull or not, whether it pulls under braking, check the spare tyre and see if its in good condition, operate the wipers and the washers: its well known for leaks in the front passengers footwell, if, when opening/closing a window, you hear unexpected noises, mention it...check the cruise control, if the climate control flashes when you start it, say you want it fixed, check the drivers side electric window button- as its the most used, its likely to be out of order.... if hes got VAG COM (or even if you have, surprise him!!) , ask him or tell him you're gunna check for and fault codes, is that alright :( :( :( if hes been tellling porkies about the remote control, then he could be lying about other things.... ALSO check the vanity mirriors in the sun blind thingy and check if their lights work properly- these can easliy flatten the battery!
-
urm, does the ambient temperature on the climate control measure the temperature of the interior or exterior?

sorry mate no answer :( i thought they were standard... any way i can transfer them from the sharan?
