Deffo 22mm, I've got most sockets now! Need a bigger tool box now though. Got a few "advisories" to sort out. Front pads Handbrake Adjustment Also needs a gearbox replacement, I'd attempt but I'm not sure if it's straight forward. Lol

Managed to fit the replacement! Turns out my nut was 22mm Still had to go back to Halfords to get a 15mm for the hub assembly. I had 2 14mm and A 16mm lol All back together for the MOT retest tomorrow

I'm trying to replace the strut in my MK2 Galaxy does anyone know what size that top nut is please? Biggest I have is 19mm which isn't enough, it must be 21/22mm I have a 24mm bit but that is too big

I've had a look and it appears a lot of stuff has to be removed to get to them! :-( I hate paying labour charges!! I don't have a spring compressor either

Car failed the MOT today on a N/S broken front spring, is this something a novice like me can attempt???

5th is solid, will not go into position engine running or not 6th goes in sometimes but if you don't hold the lever it jumps out of gear. Other times 6th just grinds and won't go in.

So an MT350 I need to look for?? I thought some were Ford some are VW with the gearboxes in Galaxy's?

I've had my gearbox looked at an apparently it's screwed. I'm looking to put another used one in it. It's a TDDi with the 6 speed in it, are there many variations of the 6 speed. Also I was told the Mondeo TDCi 6 speed gearbox is the same, anyone know of this is true? Also I'm in North London looking for the gearbox of anyone knows of any?

I had an Alhambra, the fans on that used to carry on once you'd switched off if it has over heated (it had ongoing overheating issues)

Since owning this car for around 4 months I've had issues with selecting 6th only, after 5 hour journey down to Devon I've lost the ability to select 5th and 6th. I praying it's selectors not clutch or gearbox? Any ideas??

I've had a few Vauxhalls and their aircon is excellent!! Mine appears to be working now, but I'm not impressed at all!!

My Alhambra Used to do this, only quick solution was to not dead lock it. Just press key fob once

She did ask if it was duel, but it's front only. The compressor defiantly kicks in etc, it lasts about a minute then goes off.

Just had mine re-gassed it worked when I left, then stopped. It seems it works when you switch it on for about a minute then the coldness goes off again Any ideas??

How easy would it be to fit cruise control? In my head the wiring will already be present....... My ideas never become so easy though? Lol
