  2. ps...both changers look exactly the same..just diff part numbers. the ford one is...95GP-18C830-AA I take it that even tho exactly alike they are both different parts???
  3. Right..here i have 2 cd changers....one is very obviously ford that when connected reads "no disc"..(bought it off ebay) :o Now the original one which spits out error code 5....i have just realised may be a vw one!!..why do i think this?????..because of the part number... 95VW-18C849-BA Am i right???? been told we will need to send it away to get fixed...though im going to have a gander inside it....any one out there who can give me some pointers???? :D Or...am i getting "no disc" because i am trying to fit a ford changer to a vw head unit even tho it is the 500rds unit??? Totaly confused myself now..

  12. right..the code may be written on the top of the head unit..you will have to gently lever it out to see...i know this as we lost our bit of paper that was in the car with the code written on it,so we just took out the head unit and had a gander!! hope this helps.. ahh :P 4got...had 10 attempts already..did u not check the stereo b4 buying??? id take it back to where u got it from and get them to sort it out :P welcome to the friendly forum! :P

  19. It makes you wonder how they calculate your premium..i mean, admiral and diamond are part of the same group, but each will give you a different quote. same as other affiliated companies...they will each give diff quotes..why???there seems to be no reason. Also some companies go back 5 years for points and others 3.Points stay on your licence for 4 years, but after 3 they dont count. That is according to my stepdad who works in photograhpic evidence for speed cameras!!
  20. i know it is unfair, but it is because females are proven to be a more cautious and safer driver.... have you tried MORE THAN car insurance??? we were with them till hubby got more points...with 6 points it was 468 a year, when he got 9 they wanted 1020!!..we switched then
