noooo..didnt need to touch the wiper stalk!would have done it itself!.Just by turning the key so electrics come on would have set the linkage to park.you do this before reinstalling the linkage in the car..not once installed and before arms on.

park position is when the wipers are switched off..before fully putting wipers back in..connect it up to the motor..very very very carefully support the linkage where you wont get anything trapped, then turn ignition on so all electrics come on...the linkage should move back into the position they should be in when the wipers are off.That is Park Position. :ph34r:

I used a normal kitchen metal wire scourer to clean the insides out..once cleaned, regreased....when putting it back in the car ..DONT FORGET TO PUT THE LINKAGE IN THE PARK POSITION

You will probably find it easier to take the filter housing out..otherwise it will just be in the way and you may not be able to get the linkage out... Be gentle with the linkage..take your time.......loads of wd40.....if you do this then it shouldnt break! :ph34r:
