the one i bought off ebay was a genuine bosch one...i saw the pierberg ones but went for a replacement that was the same as the one that was naffed.....i never had codes read in regards to the maf..could tell it was naffed as the gal had no guts..struggled to get up to 70 and was a snail on hills.. Once i replaced the maf..she was a dream to drive....she flies now and i love it :D

I'm not going to be on as much..as the countdown begins once again...after being here two years i am on the move to lincolnshire in March...sooooo much to do in so very little time....house to repaint.....(sorry kids the wall murals have to go..)etccc....those who have served in the forces and have lived in married quarters know what i mean...house has to be spotless ..which reminds me...........i have a door to repair ..its a hollow door with a lovely hole in it..what is the best way to repair it so it looks good as new?? All good fun. :lol: time to stock up on magnolia paint and white gloss :P ;)

Yup..i finally fixed the washing machine....had it on its back last night and this morning....(bloody heavy) There was a brooch and a sock stuck in the pipe from the drum to the filter..last night i tried going in through the filter..this morn i unclipped the hose from the filter..(had one of those clips on it same as the maf)...removed said brooch and sock..then spent a couple of hours trying to get the blasted clip on properly..so gave up and cable tied it..all working ok and im preening. :lol: ..tell you what..getting it back upright was a killer... Drum hasnt knocked either..is now as quiet as the day i bought it....

took months as i wasnt allowed to touch the car till i passed my test..... :P once id passed i was allowed to start sorting it out.....besides,,took me a while to find the right seller to buy from. :P And yes....took me a while to fit!!..hey...considering it was the first thing i sorted out on the car...i think i did well!! :lol: ;) :P

running a car with a MAF unplugged wont mess anything..i did for months before i got a new one.. When i got a new one i just fitted it..plugged it in and nothing else..worked a dream.

Ok..i found when refitting the spring..that the arm does bend :D ..try bending it to touch the screen...had to bend mine back into shape after the spring incident.. ;)

I think the peeps on here would be better at giving a response as to which is better..considering we own them both and can give an honest view. All well and good looking at surveys.....but we know on here the strengths and weaknesses of both the MKI and MKII...we know the car inside out..... :D
