  6. I am with Nationwide....and they are brilliant....very helpful...and i have found that they will do what they can to help..though i do find that the service differs from branch to branch..
  7. Soooo...i live in england..but my branch is in scotland....so..do i just follow the instructions?...be a bit difficult if i have to file a claim with the sherrifs court!! :D

  9. Just put a winxp disc in..nothing happened..same error came up
  10. Must admit....that we had a rear door that didnt shut properly....when neil had a look..he said that it was only being held closed by the child safety catch :lol: ..he fixed the door for me no probs and its been fine ever since.

I would have thought that at speed and the winds..would create pressure to keep the door pressed firmly against the body..unless the mechanism was weak and the door wasnt quite flush with the body thus creating a gap for the wind to roll back into and create pressure to open it?...Just a thought anyway....

  17. Nice one.....it is a bit tricky to get everything out..took me ages..... :blink: But the satisfaction of sorting it out is great..that and the fact that youve just saved a few hundred quid! :D
  18. Hmmm....was just checking :blink: ...I'm nay sure what to do...could do as Neil suggested...but i would have thought that if they moved then there is power getting to them..

Is everything connected up correctly..and did you put the arms back on in the exact position they were in before you took them off?....Have you tried taking them off..disconnecting...then reconnecting the linkage..then turning the ignition to the first click just to be sure that they are in the park position?..is everything firmly reconnected?

  21. I believe the turbo should kick in at around 2k revs as it IIRC it is kickstarted by the exhaust gasses...from what i can remember... :o
  22. It was a 40GB one...and i think that is plenty enough for her! It is an acer travelmate 2420.Notebook.

  24. i know she hasnt looked after it...i did warn her dad..and i told her to take care of it.... :D The hard drive is unreadable...
  25. Her dad has the receipt..i have asked him to send it to me.. No sign of abuse.....she has etched her name on it..the screen looks as if it has been poked..has blotches on it..The cdrom tray is missing a bit.....and it has a dent in the top....i did tell him not to get her one...but hey..she wanted it so he bought her it just to make her happy.
