Yes a cd changer can go in the cubby...as for the antenna..i dont know..Bleeno has one of these units in his Galaxy so he will be able to answer better than i..also steve67 deals with this sort of thing for a living

Then i would change asap...both fuse box and cable..you may not be so lucky when it does go..as it may take out the alt...if you can..get the parts without useing the car.mine went whilst the car was being driven.

Touch wood it should be ok...id def change the cable..then hopefully it should be ok...Im not promiseing though! Though..what i would say..is keep an eye on the fuse box..check it every couple of days or so when you have changed the cable...if it does go again..then i would change the cable and fuse box at the same time.

WEll if you get the right cable..i assume you can do it yourself...but i had mine done by a garage..only cost me 20 quid i think..If you do it yourself..make sure the connectors are clesn where it connects in the fuse box!!....its what i was told.also that the connecting bit doesnt move.

YUp..thats the one..doesnt cost much..can be done at any garage.

No hun..that will be outright....nowt over..at least i will know she is going to a good place..just have to clear it with the finance peeps on tuesday..touch wood they will still let me settle..as their 4k quote was only for 7 days.if they agree..i will spend a couple of days cleaning her up.. She will be going to a garage..and the owner himself wants her for himself..if he fixes her up as to how she should be then sells her..at least i know she will be at her best as that is how she should be..cant believe im so attached to this car!..all he did was walk around the outside of her..and i just listed all that was wrong.no point trying to gloss over anything as thats not me..

I've found a buyer for the gal.Fords didnt want her..shes too old..so i found another place . Long as the finance peeps keep to their 4k settlement..she is sold.there was no bullsh1tting...I told them what was wrong with her...i know how much its going to cost to get her fixed..lookinag at around 3k for her to be done properly... sorry..sat bawling.

id also look at the tyres.....see what youve got on..if they crap in the wet..could be the tyres..

I dont have the money to do anything to her..the most obvious damage is the front left...TBH..even if she goes back..as my name isnt on the finance agreement..its not me that ends up paying off any shortfall...just sorry to see her go. I can try the ford garage though..as there is one in the village..doubt they would offer much for her anyway. Thanks for the link Dave.Mucho appreciated.

Me thinks..they undervalue...as they value the vectra at 455...and i know from research that she is worth a hell of a lot more!
