Many labour MP's object to the RFL banded increases, in particular those being introduced retrospectively. If you don't like it, write to your MP! IMHO the new tax bands will do nothing for the environment - this won't even get many of the older and higher emissions cars off the road - indeed, some cars have lost so much value that it will be cheaper to just keep them going for as long as possible and pay the higher tax.

Paranoia aside, how are your shares doing at the moment? :wacko: It's the retrospective part of the VED that's particularly galling. And the fact that there are seven seats in a Galaxy - after all, why buy a Galaxy if you don't need lots of seats? (Hence the emissions per person is lower than other cars, but they still get taxed on CO2 per vehicle.)

The petition can be found at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk This is in the news now and affects all Galaxy's back to those registered after March 2001. If you want to have your voice heard, and not just sit there and take a shafting, why not sign the petition?
