Is there any mileage restrictions aswell as 6 years??

its still within 6 years as it was registered 23 dec 99. I might give it a try, but knowing my local ford dealer they won't be interested!

what about repair?? Can it be ground down to bare metal, treated, primed and resprayed? or will it come back??

I can't take it back as I bought it privately. Don't you have to get the book stamped for the anti corrosion warranty to be effective??

I bought my first galaxy a few days ago and when I was looking at it I noticed some rust. the seller said its normal for galaxies around this age and said she'd seen a few like it. Its a 1999 V plate by the way. The rust is along the bottom of both back door, both rear wings mainly near side, below the nearside tail lamp and below the nearside rear quarter window. does anyone else have these problems? A local bodyshop said I should get new back doors? and the wings would need cutting out and replacing? Is it not possible to repair the rust, they do on wheeler dealers on sky!! Thanks for the replies. I've decided to get an alarm with remote locking built in. Anyone got any thoughts on cobra alarms?

I always thought central locking was where you could lock all the doors with the key in one lock. How do I check it? What are the domes?

I purchased my first galaxy last night, its a 99 zetec tdi 110. It has central locking but no remote keys? is this normal? can I just buy a key and program it to the car? Thanks, Mike.
