I hate the rear wiper operation on my galaxy! You want one quick wipe so you push it back, which then puts it into intermittent mode. So you push again to cancel and it squirts water on the window!! :lol:

I'll have a look when I get 5 mins.

I was out in the car today listening to the radio with th rear demister switched on and the reception was rubbish on the radio. I turned off the rear demister and It was fine :angry: Is this normal or do I have a bad connectione somewhere??

I have front electric windows on my 99 galaxy but with kids it would be handy to have them in the back too. :lol: Is it just a case of getting a motor and the switches? or do I need the complete window regulator? The wiring is not a problem, I should be able to sort that. Thanks, Mike.

no luck on ebay yet. Is there any companies that do body kits for the mark 1 galaxy? not after anything major, maybe just some side skirts and a rear spoiler?

tried a couple of places to get a key made, they all said they couldn't do this type of key for a 99 model. they put it in the cloning machine but it couldn't read from it, they said its a phillips chip and is only available from a dealer.

When I got my car I only had 1 ignition key with it. So today I went to a locksmiths to get one cut, he said that he can't do it because of the type of transponder chip in the key? he could cut the blade only. Is this going to be a ford only job? I have read somewhere about needing a red key or needing 2 keys to program another? anyone shed some light please. Thanks, Mike.

I have seen a few galaxys with an extra part on the front of the bumper and side skirt extensions, I think it was an si model. Where can I get some??

I have noticed since I got my 99 galaxy tdi 2 weeks ago, When you start the engine the oil light flashes about twice :lol: . Is this normal?? Hoping that theres not a problem with the pump.

Hi, I know this may of been asked before. I have a 99 galaxy tdi and I want cruise control, I read through some of the forums, is it as simple as getting the stalk for the diesels? If so which stalk do I need? as on VAGparts they list 2 different ones? 8LO or 1JO. Thanks, Mike.

I'm looking at buying a set of mats and seatcovers for my 99 galaxy. Has anyone purchased some from ebay? theres a company selling mat sets at

runs out in december. I did mention about it, he said the claim is dated the day I informed them so should be ok.

sorry to bring back a very old thread but, I've had a look for the sensor for the aux heater, is it tucked right back under the scuttle panel? if so how do you get to it?

I've had a read throught the other threads, I can't find anything about how to switch it on?

OK, so I took the car to the local fraud dealer today and the guy had a look at the rust. He took some digi camera pics and he said he would email them to the bodyshop, I should hear within 6 weeks. They send the estimate to ford who then get an independant RAC inspector to come and check the rust. I'll keep you posted on how I get on.

I was looking under the galaxy today and I noticed some sort of heater in front of the near side rear wheel. I'm guessing its for the rear passenger compartment? How do you switch it on? couldn't find much in the handbook. Mike.

I had the car on a ramp at work today and checked the underside. No signs of rust at all!! so it seems strange why its happened. I think I will give the dealers a try, I'll let you know how I get on. Mike.

just checked my ford service book and handbook and I cant find anything about it.
