The display is very much like the screen on your computer...ie it is dumb and the information is actually held elsewhere. Most likely turning the ignition on and off a few times caused a software glitch in the video driver in your cars electronics. Like a normal computer this is nearly always cleared by a restart. Wouldn't worry about it unless it does it again. p.s. if it ain't broken don't try to fix it !

It is quite easy to remove the entire loom from the car...do a repair on the wiring and put the loom back in. I would advise this as the best approach.

Their assets being any savers money they have and also any property that Northern Rock own ( or more accurately hold the deeds for ).
