  1. Higher up....above the wheel arch and below the window
  2. Is that my left or your left ?
  3. I am sure I read somewhere that the MK2's have a slightly different heater ( although some of the earky MK2's may not ). The MK1 heaters do not connect to VAG Com. Not 100% on this
  4. It should certainly have cruise control......worth looking into !
  5. You got a picture of this ?
  6. Fuel heat dissipator ?
  7. Anyone got any info. on this yet.
  8. Yep, there are a lot of idiots out there with no memories.....heard our un-elected leader lying again this week at the conference. You could tell his mouth was open.
  9. Came accross this whilst smurfing the net ! Interesting points Quite a suprise for a Labour peer, I agree with most of this guys points. Especially the bit about raising the speed limit for HGV's on single carraigeways to prevent the head-on collisions that occur when car drivers get peeved off and try to overtake. Also like his attitude about the totting-up system of points penalising low-risk drivers. A bit dated but I think it would be better if more of this type of information was easier to find.
  10. On a late version MK1.......... see.....http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=14257 Don't know if is the same on the MK2
  11. It sounds like a mechanical failure of the lock barrel........ see...... http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=13764 Also contains a link to ebay for repair kit !
  12. There are different model of Climate Control units...I am not sure if they are all compatible....this could be upsetting the central electronics in your vehicle....I have a MK1 and am not entirely sure what the MK2 trip computer displays. The flashing 5 times on start up indicates a fault with your Climate Control System...this could be anything from low gas to a stuck flap...you would need to either interogate it with vag-com or similar or possibly deduce the fault from the symptoms.
  13. Hi Lupas, Nice motor...welcome to the forum. I am sure you will get a few more years out of it....see if you can get it to 200k.
  14. not necessarily .... I did say probably..
  15. Try here http://www.ross-tech.com Ebay is a good source of very cheap ( usually ok ) alternative cables.
  16. Unplug the MAF sensor first to see if it makes a difference.... If it makes no difference your MAF is probably knackered.... If it gets worse then your MAF is probably ok.
  17. Just make sure to reserve plenty of hard disk space for the "air-Conditioning" section.... :16:
  18. Should have made it clear this is from the MK1....don't know if it applies to the MK2
  19. And I have my car details in my sig. as well....... :16:
  20. thats why the link is in my signature :16: :16: ;) :16: Any chance of it being linked at the top of each page.....like, Live Chat, Arcade etc ? p.s. I am going to put the FAQ in my sig too ( it might remind me to read it as well ).
  21. Is this be cruel to newbies week ?....remember we were all newbies once. The FAQ is not very indicated to and moist new members do not know of its existence. I know we see the same questions time and time again but new members may think that their problem is unique. Can we try to be a little more understanding. Just my little bit of advice.......before it gets out of hand again and we start talking "pizza's". Kev
  22. I thought the 288mm fronts were the MK1's and the larger ones were the MK2's ditto for the 268mm rears.
  23. Hi Del, Try this link Fuses & Relays Regards Kev
