For Those That Received An Email From Me In The Last 24 Hours

I will pretend I am not old enough to remember them ..... -
Your initial arguement is with Towsure who have incorrectly fitted the towbar. ( A correct fitting would work without affecting the rest of the cars electronics ). Also I wouldn't believe anything that came out of a ford dealers mouth. I would expect that unauthorised kits would work with the vehicle as it is unlikely that ford manufacture their kits themselves and in fact get them from a third party who also make unauthorised kits. However having an unauthorised kit fitted would almost certainly invalidate your warranty. I would go back to Towsure and tell them to fix it or get a refund from them.

That was an absolutely disgusting performance by England. I watched the Scotland game and although I will admit that they were outclassed by Italy they never stopped trying and gave it their all. England were pathetic especially the pair of nancy boys ( Gerrard and Lampard ) in the middle. How many England players were booked in this game ? It was the last game of the group, none of the bookings carry through to the next round, this means you are effectively allowed at least one good kicking of the opposition to let them know you mean business. Croatia had not a lot to play for and England had everything, why didn't England get stuck in ? No pride in playing for their country thats why  The only one who actually gave his all was Peter Crouch ( and the subs when they came on.) Beckham and Defoe actually got stuck in when they came on leading to both goals. Obviously McLaren and the Goalie will take the rap for it but personally I would drop all the starting eleven except Crouch and say "come back when you want to play for your country". This is from a scotsman...god knows what you English think.

The TR6 was preferred mainly because it came in a soft top rather than the TR7's hard top. When the later TR7's came out in hard top people forgot about the TR6. There were allegedly some TR8's made in right hand drive as demo's, I think a few Dozen but IIRC were never released officially and obviously some may have been converted. The 2.0 engine was the same as used in the Dolomite Sprint another classic although by most accounts ugly, and had the option of a better 2.0l engine than the TR7. The TR7 could do 0 to 60mph in just over 9 seconds, the Sprint could do it in around 8.5 with a much higher top speed. You would expect the sports car to beat the saloon.....strange marketing/engineering decision ! An interesting point is that the soft top was cheaper than the hard top !

Galaxy 2000 Tdi Starter Problem
big_kev replied to pcshak's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I would definitely go for the push start first just to eliminate any engine problem. At least then you definitely know it is starter related. Advise you put ugly people at the back to push just in case the engine is siezed... Its nice to watch them go splat into the back when you release the clutch.... -
I remember the Inland Revenue accidently deleting over a million records between 1998 and 2000, deleted as in gone forever ! The most likely scenario is that the cd's did reach there destination but have been mislaid ! Probably in someones drawer or accidently been binned. The document format used is easily to access using any modern database software ( SQL ). It could even be imported into microsoft excel ( a bit at a time obviously ). The password protection is there to prevent other HMRC employees from opening it not to prevent someone hacking it.....as it should never make its way into non HMRC hands.

The V8 engine was used in America because of the emmision laws which reduced the power of the 2.0 engine by almost 20%. No V8's were released in the UK they were in the USA only and hence all cack hand drive. The TR7 was famous more for its looks and style rather than its performance although on country roads it was superb, just lacked the sheer speed and acceleration for motorways. Sadly Triumph only released the convertibles late in this cars career which was a pity as there are few of them about, they are stunning. A true classic that has long outlived it contemporary's. Like it or loath it........it was a work of art

You getting old....like me...

No BMW's or Mercs......you must be a good driver then.. :D

You are less likely to kill someone doing 107 mph on a quiet motorway than doing 30mph between parked cars . Don't confuse excess speed with speeding they are not the same. Government stats shows that speeding is responsible for less than 3% of vehicle accidents. Excess speed is responsible for approx. 24% of accidents. For Clarity. Speeding in this context means exceeding the speed limit. Excess speed means exceeding safe limit for driving conditions.

Oooh ! I like this..... TR8 Convertible 11,000 miles only

Its getting nasty now....someone sent me this. Scotland get drawn against Brazil in the next world cup. Ronaldo goes into the Brazilian changing room to find all his teammates looking a bit glum. "What's up?" he asks. "Well, we're having trouble getting motivated for this game. We know it's important but it's only Scotland. They're sh*te and we can't be bothered". Ronaldo looks at them and says "Well, I reckon I can beat these by myself, you lads go down the pub." So Ronaldo goes out to play Scotland by himself and the rest of the Brazilian team go off for a few jars. After a few pints they wonder how the game is going, so they get the landlord to put the teletext on. A big cheer goes up as the screen reads "Brazil 1 - Scotland 0 (Ronaldo 10minutes)". He is beating Scotland all by himself! Anyway, a few more pints later and the game is forgotten until someone remembers "It must be full time now, let's see how he got on". They put the teletext on. "Result from the Stadium "Brazil 1 (Ronaldo 10 minutes) - Scotland 1 (Angus 89 minutes)". They can't believe it, he has single handedly got a draw against Scotland!! They rush back to the Stadium to congratulate him. They find him in the dressing room, still in his gear, sat with his head in his hands. He refuses to look at them. "I've let you down, I've let you down." "Don't be daft, you got a draw against Scotland, all by yourself. And they only scored at the very, very end!" "No, No, I have, I've let you down... I got sent off after 12 minutes"

Apparently standard practice.....they didn't even send it recorded or registered. Therefore they have no idea where it went. I think it would have cost a couple of quid extra to have it signed for.... :D Apparently the Chairman of HM Revenue & Customs has resigned. I am kinda hoping he is the one who checks my Tax Returns.... :D Seriously though this is absolutely scandalous, you do not want this info. falling into the wrong hands. Bank Details, Dates of Birth, Names, Addresses etc etc .

Check your bank accounts ! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7103566.stm

Very lucky to only get 3 points...... :D

Saif, I was being sarcastic.... :D I totally agree with you, its the same half-wits that use Hazard Lights on the motorway that drive with rear fog lights on for the slightest reason.
-
Still illegal though ! Try it next time you have a cop behind you I am sure he will be impressed. What next..rear fog lights that are rain activated ?
