converted the old man in to a galaxy owner via a tdi mk 1 but it developed a fault on the gear box in that it would only select 3-4 gear it turned out to be the cable change which spat its nutral cable so popped it back on, fine until you use 5th or reverse and off she pops again so new cable required but as vw dealer are useless, ford are too dear(

no i have not because as it is what i do for a living i know my area is a crap signal zone and also there is no where enough aerials for them to broadcast from at the minute . also until this is done and the price of decent units for in car use comes down i still se them as a lame duck

with out reading the full transcript of the court case and the specialist reports we i believe can not and should not comment on such a case i do believe that a full investigation would have been done and done with a very strong accent on trying to prove the driver guilty and this was not the case hence the judge chose the option not continue with the case and directed the juriors to do the same. as hard as it may seem it was probally the right thing to do , i know if it was my family killed in such a crash i would not be happy with the out come. but i would also believe the driver of the truck will have to life the rest of his live knowing he killed 3 people , he also will probally never hold a driving liecence again(or so i hope any how)

i have a trip computer on the galaxy i have just brought and it tells me i am getting about 25 to the gallon average out of a 2000 y plate 2.3 ghia x and i dont care about it and glad to own another one as i wish i had not sold the sharan so if you worry about the fuel buy a ka or a :D diesel corsa :D

r/c stuff is cool have 2 nitro trucks and i dont care if they break as they are cheeper to own and run than a galaxy even the diesel but they drink more juice than a poorly vr6 :D

as i said if they quote on the ticket that your wind screen is tinted ( as the front two side windows according to the police are part of the wind screen) :blink: then you have grounds to fight it and win as this is down to the wording of the police being incorrect :lol: :blink: also pictures of a p.c or two that have their car tinted inc the front 2 windows help :lol: this is my experence on the fact and as such only here to help :lol: but as always can also be as easly be ignored :lol: only trying to offer some help as always :wacko:

and also if you get stopped. The police discribe in most cases the two side windows between thw a&b piller as part of the wind screen. If they do plead not guilty in court and the case will get thrown out. i know this as the window tint firm that share the same unit with me had the same happen to them. All the police can really do is advice you on a safety aspect to remove it but as always what vosa state and what is law is in reality totally different. and sorry to use a pun but this is very much a gray area and no one can shed much light on it when pushed to state the law ;) ;)

no one does a connector for the ampped unit in the galaxy the only way round it is to get a specialist to chop into the loom and put two iso's in to the loom so it will interupt the signal after the amp other wise your shafted sorry to be bearer of bad news but this is the only way regards steve
