  3. oi pi553d lady stop hijacking my thread lol :) and whats that saying beggers can't be choosers.? well it seams my brother can as he has just gave me my free loan galaxy back to me as he said it aint what he wants ? f**K me next time i won't help him out . but the up side is my dads car needs a mot doing so im swopping cars with him to help him out as i at least know as grumpy as he is he will enjoy the use of it and be greatful ;) never got on with the tw4t of a brother but blood thicker than water and i tried to help out and it just gets thrown back at you so it just reinforces my thoughts of what a plum he is :D
  4. my info on this is from both my 99 t plate transporter and my mates 2000 v plate sharan so i listed this just in case it might help? but i also know there is a difference in both ranges due engine sizes. if was just a generalisation to try to help but as i also know some peps talk too much listed on here word for word :)
  5. they leave the factory with bits broken or poorly fitted  just like a galaxy then ;)
  6. yes you are right i have sold the shaza but i sort of own a diesel gally it came up cheap so i got it never saw it as i gave it to my brother as his vauxhall estate thingy got wrote off so i think i own a metalic wine red oil burning gally  but i aint never seen it lol ;) i will still be around but as you can tell by my resent proformance not much due to work loads
  7. well after about 6 months of saying it i have sold the sharan to a mate as i just dont use it i mot it and i did only 1350 miles in a year so i am no longer a shaza owner and i must admit i hated selling it and i almost shed a tear so im off nice knowing you all will nip in from time to time and if you have a quiry drop me a line on any audio @ in-ka_northampton@hotmail.co.uk ^_^
  8. well...since he never posted again after that one and only post..we can only speculate!!..He may have got the one he was after..and just forgotten all about us...though how he can forget about us i have no idea.LMAO. how bout easy you was not ere then lol :(
  9. all in the fuse box and as a gemini agent and fellow galaxy owner my advice is get a local specialist to do it as it aint straight forward 1) do you have the equipment to test 2)does you equipment find the right wires 3)do you know weather the c/l module is neg or pos locking 4)is it a .6 sec or timed out put (for global closure) the list goes on and so can the bill if you balls it up :(
  10. facia trim and harness adp :( also aerail adpt :D then yes straight in :( but no it will not run your factory changer as they are totally different to each other
  11. p.s hope the professional in your case aint halfrauds p.s what part the country you in ?
  12. if the new unit has not had the electric aerial lead fitted into the ford loom it cannot turn on the system as it is also the trigger to the multimedia pack as well advise you ask the so call professional to do his job properly (but in a nice and non patronising way) hope this is of some help
  13. they are an add on not fitted at the factory but at the docks when the order is placed for its spec what trim have you got ? leather or cloth and what colour ? regards steve
  14. gallon of petrol and 1 match = best vecci out there ;)
  15. no its cool to use this one as its always open the visteon system is a wierd one for starters it is not a factory fit one but a retro one a company called auto monitor fitted them for ford when a customer requested them and therefore is a plug in and play system and takes its power from the radio and is turned on by the remote trigger from the radio so take the radio out and check connections if not the control panels are reknown for shutting down and are not checkable only replaceable hope this helps regard steve
  16. 5/30 of the top of my head but it has been 5 year since i owned a mondeo ^_^
  17. just found out the 1990 to 2003 vw transporter has the same discs and calipers as the galasharambra. apart from the t4 with drums on the rear (saves a smart asre pointing that one out )
  18. go into a specialist audio shop and ask for a ford parrott harness adptor and that will allow you a straight plug in as it will revert the vw wiring you have at the moment into a std ford loom  easy peasie
  19. good call but have it checked out as there is a stearing colum recall at the moment i know we have one as well as the shazza (which is also going due to lack of use 1200 miles last year and it has not left the drive way in 4 months )
  20. greger you got a cool head mate cuz that tosser would have been dragged over his sales desk and bundled in to the boot(yes boot ) of a car and dropped off at the ford dealers (good fellas style) where the galaxy would have been and the told to try and bull shit the dealer then when failed told he was paying for it to be sorted there and also the cost of a hire car and then made to walk back(oh would make sure the car was at a dealer in the next town and he did not have his mobile ) :( you are in the top ten of cool under fire  p.s and he could pick up the finance payments while you are unable to enjoy the car regards less of what hire car you had :(
  21. this is correct hence the need to put a std aerial up its socket in the back to test the tuner on the set that way he can tick that box as tested ok therefore its an external problem and not a set problem cheers steve
  22. tressa is your other half only on 3rd party insurance or fully comp as they remove the other cars part on tpft policies?
  23. yes and no it keeps what is cool cool and if you put some thing in warm then by switch in the plug around it keeps stuff warm and they have a battery saver on it so when the battery is low it switches off and as stated it sits in the seating clamps so very safe as well
  24. no just go into the main menu and reposition your car on the new mapping or take a drive along a duel carrage way at about 60 mph for about 6 miles and that should do it regards steve
  25. wireing is different and the unit is out of a focus/ c-max so totally different size but yes they are better units and made by sony not visteon
