  1. Seems to me like the diagnostics aren't picking up the actual faulty part but the fault is causing other components to register fault codes as they are not seeing what they want to see or the PCM is not controlling them properly, Mine is terrible now and the problem is happening every time i am between 3000 and 4000 rpm. Let me know how you get on with any further diagnostics Cheers, Dave.
  2. Thanks for the update, please keep me informed as to the progress and if you manage to resolve it, Are your fault codes similar to mine? P0101- MAF but this was probably stored when i was playing with the MAF P1556-Charge Pressure Contr. Negative Deviation P1549-Boost Pressure Contr.Valve Short to Ground do you think it could be anything to do with the accelerator position sensor as a few have mentioned???

  4. I use WANLI Budget reinforced tyres on my galaxy 215/55/16 they are less than
  5. Been to pick up my Gal, problem not fixed
  6. Ford Dealer has been on the phone again saying they cannot diagnose this fault and are basically giving up on it unless i pay them hourly rate to diagnose it which the guy said could run into thousands which i cannot afford I cannot believe that they have spent four days on the car and still cannot find the fault. Ford customer relations aren't interested they told me to take it to another ford dealership, which means more money spent. I am now waiting for VW to give me a call to see if they can help Any more help from you guys would be appreciated
  7. Just been contacted again and they are now waiting for a boost control solenoid and they will be fitting this tomorrow.........................
  8. Right, an update to this problem....... ford dealer now has my Gal, Had it two days trying to diagnose the fault, First they wanted to change the MAF but i told them this had already been changed, but they tried a new one anyway, then they said they suspect the MAF wiring which they checked and found OK. they have now rang me to say they still can't find the problem and are now looking at the Turbo controls they are charging me for all the time they are spending on the vehicle B) I can't see how it takes two days to diagnose a fault at my expense. I'm up to about
  9. Thats what dealers do change parts and hope thats what was causing the problem, now surely they must see the same faults time and time again and be smart enough to remember what actually caused the problem the last time they saw this fault, but then again if they worked like that they wouldn't make as much money, let us know how you get on changing the part and if it cures the problem. :D
  10. :) someone must know what this problem is :) i think i'm gonna have to use the last resort and go to ford :)
  11. i have checked the brake light switch which appears to be O.K brake lights work ok and engine drops in revs when i press the brake pedal it doesn't seem to be the same kind of drop in power as when the above mentioned problem occurs
  12. Please post again once you find out what was causing the problems as it may be of help to others :)
  13. once someone finds a cure for this problem or what part is causing it please let me know as i am reluctant to take it to fraud as they seem to just change random parts at my expense until the problems go away. Last time i had a problem it ended up with me needing a new cylinder head whereas if they had diagnosed the problem correctly when it first went in it would have just been a water pump.
  14. I also have the same problem and have replaced the MAF but still have the same problem
  15. Mine is a 115ps anyone have any ideas what the actual problem is?
  16. I have a 51 Plate Galaxy 1.9Tdi I have been experiencing problems with power loss. When i am at around 3000 rpm in usualy 3rd 4th 5th or 6th i feel a slight pull and then i lose all acceleration, if i put my foot to the floor the engine revs creep up and the car gains speed very slowly. If i press the clutch in the engine revs normally turning off and on the ignition clears the problem but it returns again fairly quickly any ideas on how to sort this would be greatly appreciated. I have changed the MAF sensor but this did not rectify the problem.
  17. Does anyone know where I can get a set of replacement wiper blades for my 51 plate galaxy. They are the curved aero type blades Ford want over 50 quid for a set which i think is daylight robbery. any info would be appreciated
  18. Having showed the problem to a mate he seems to think that the turbo is not operating as the car still has its full rev range but no quick accelleration, i can't see it would be a leak in any of the turbo pipes as the problem is intermittent and can be cleared with a flick on/off of the ignition.. Could it still be the MAF? If i unplug the MAF whilst i have the problem occurring what result should i get? any other thoughts??? Cheers, Dave
  19. Where can i get a replacement MAF Sensor, i don't really want to pay ford prices for one, someone suggested GSF but i am not sure which one i would need as there are a few listed. <_<
  20. I have a 51 plate 1.9tdi galaxy. I have a problem where i lose all power and the car will not get any faster, if i drop down a gear the revs go up but the car stilll does not get any faster. Turning the ignition off and on again clears the problem for a while. any help would be appreciated as i don't want to get ripped off by ford again!!!!
