  1. No joy so far but then I've not really had time. I am going to try replacing the 3mm vacuum hoses as that is the cheap option, failing that the N75 solinoid. TAM
  2. Having some problems with me 1998 Sharan TDI 110 AFN engine checked for fault codes using a mates Seally reader but nothing showing apart from AC fault & air bag fault that I already know about. The problem I am getting is in 1st gear (sometimes 2nd) when I pull away it feels low on power then about 3-4k RPM its like the turbo chimes in in one go rather than the progressive power I have had for years. There is no excessive smoke & oil consumtion is as normal. Higher gear doesn't seem to show up any loss in power. There is no warning light & its not going to limp mode. It had a new MAF about a year ago, but have tried disconnected it. Also, & I dont know if this is related, but she will start 1st time from cold no hessitations but with a warm engine it can take 5-10 secs of cranking over before she will catch. I did have a cold start problem last winter glow plugs not coming on turned out to be the 4 pin temp sensors on the coolant pipe, which sorted that fault. I have been told it could be the vacuum pipes to the turbo & n75 relay, or the ERG is clogged up. Its is the 1.9 TDI AFN engine with 157,000 mile on it. So I am looking for any advice about this. TIA TAM

  4. Mine done something similar a while back & it turned out to be the 4 pin temp sensor on the cooling pipe top rhs of the engine. 2 of t he pins work the guage 2 goto the ecu help with the cold starting . TAM
  5. This sounds like the same fault I had a year or so back, it was the varaible vains in the turbo are sticking causing to high a boost which puts the car to limp mode. I was told by the dealer it would need a new turbo

  12. If you have no luck I have a set of Eibach 300mm lower springs for pre 2000 2.0 petrol sharan / galaxy that I am willing to sell. They do fit on the diesel but lower it more than the 30mmat the front, therefore I can get my Sharan in to the drive (steep driveway) TAM

  17. Sharan TDI with 128,000 with no documentation for the clutch having been done. However my works Transit Connect with 11,000 has just had to have a new clutch put in, and the company had to pay for it as "it is not covered under the term of warranty" a load of BS if you ask me. There have been a few of the new Connects, in my work that have had slipping clutches. Hope you are successful. TAM

Has not reoccured but I still get an occassional loss of power loke a misfire. Someone form this fourm suggestedit could be the throttle potensiometer in the accelerator assembly. TAM
